The film retells the plot of the novel in a simplified and shortened to 1⁄4 content. I don’t know what impression the film will make on the audience who didn’t read the novel, but I was very disappointed, despite the participation of good actors: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Billy Bob Thornton. Jim Sturgess overplays the moron Keith. It's a shame to look at such a mess.
