Guy Ritchie's "Agents A.N.C.L." In general, I feel good about Guy Ritchie, because he never makes his films with animal seriousness, he usually has a lot of banter, parody and irony. So in this film, two agents, one of whom initially hunts the other, suddenly find themselves in the same boat, as the US and Soviet intelligence agencies decided to join forces to find the atomic bomb developed by criminals who kidnapped one professor from Germany for this. I will not tell the twists and turns of the plot, because it is still a comedy spy action movie, who wants to watch for himself. We must pay tribute to the director, who did not portray the Russian spy as a complete idiot, as they sometimes do, he generally ironically shows all these spy brethren - English, American, Russian, all of them, to put it mildly, are not distinguished by high moral qualities, especially in the upper echelons, all use either weaknesses, or facts of biography, or a criminal past to keep their spies on a short leash. However, this does not prevent the Russian and the American from becoming friends, more than once they come to each other’s aid, saving lives. Compared to other Guy Ritchie films, this one is probably weaker, but you can see, it is nothing high and does not claim to be.
