We recently had a small scandal in our Parliament of the Riigikogu – one of its members allowed himself to address our Prime Minister with the following question: “How did you get here, flower?” The incident was then discussed in the press, because it was a clear mockery, and in the opinion of some, an insult. It was a quote from an Estonian TV movie from Soviet times about a non-poor city family who decided to relax in the summer on the small island of Muhu. The film is now considered a classic and has been widely quoted among the local public. In addition, there are expressions so sweet to their hearts: “Well, we are Soviet people, we will pay”, “Are you people?”, etc. The film is called “Here we are!” / Siin me oleme, 1979, directed by Sulev Nymmik, who also played one of the roles in this film. This is such an eccentric satirical comedy that makes fun of everyone, and this idiotic family that thinks that God knows who and does not consider the rest as people, especially his wife, and the villagers and potential suitors. There are musical numbers. I decided to watch it, remembering that I had already seen it, only at the very end. The network found only in the original, so I can not recommend someone who does not speak Estonian, but maybe somewhere in the network and there is a translation.
