Then it got more fun. Very amused gardening ambitions of the heroine: of all cultures, she, with complete lack of experience, chose the most whimsical - tomatoes. To get a decent crop of tomatoes, you need to be a really avid summer resident, and the use of them is a delicacy, no more. Well, then the neighbors told her that it was best to start with potatoes.
The children of the main character are also interesting. In Japanese mythology, the image of a werewolf is devoid of sinister meaning. The fact is that in Japan, wolves became extinct long ago and remained in the popular memory of semi-mythical creatures. The magical wolf-okami from Japanese legends is not a terrible werewolf, but rather a gray wolf from Russian fairy tales. But in modern Japan, of course, the werewolf has no place - that's what Ame and Yuki hide their abilities as much as they can. It is very difficult for children to keep secrets. Therefore, the responsibility for their future in human society falls on the shoulders of the mother. She will not only have to feed and raise them without a father, but also help them understand their dual nature, and perhaps make a choice.
"Wolf Children of Ame and Yuki" is a film about parenting. The fact that the development of personality is not a straightforward process, and many character traits may eventually turn out to be not what they seem at first. A child is one thing, but a teenager is another. As a person who studied pedagogy at the university, I can say that the filmmakers responsibly approached the matter and created really realistic characters - which, in general, is the main sign of a good anime.
The second theme of this film is the anthem of the real Mother. To a woman who lives for her children, not only not allowing the thought of getting rid of the burden of being the mother of magical creatures, but also not complaining about her fate. Duty and love are inseparable. We can only wish that such mothers would be more in reality – more children will grow up to be decent and healthy people.
I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like the film – it was very interesting and very correct. But still - for girls: it is not so much in the subject, as in the abundance of household details and sentimental mood of the picture.
The result: a good meditative anime for young mothers and those who are preparing to become them, as well as for everyone who is interested in the problems of upbringing and growing up.
