A pseudonym of a famous philosopher and theologian. A native of London, he studied and taught in Rome for many years. He is one of the greatest scholars of the Gnostic tradition and the works of the great heretic Gnostics and their influence on the esoteric tradition within Christianity. This largely influenced the creation of his first best-selling novel - "Memoirs of the Dwarf-Gnostic". His subsequent works only strengthened his position as one of the recognized masters of modern intellectual prose, whom critics compare with Patrick Suskind.
