Nikolai Oleynikov - Soviet children's poet, writer, co-author of scripts for such children's films as Lenochka and grapes "Cut the Lena." Born in the present Rostov region, in the village of Kamenetsk on August 18, 1898 in a Cossack family. Born in the present Rostov region, in the village of Kamenetsk on August 18, 1898 in a Cossack family. During the civil war, he fought on the side of the Reds, since 1920 he began to engage in journalism. In 1925, having already gained extensive experience as an editor, he moved from the city of Bakhmut in Ukraine to Leningrad. Oleynikov collaborated with various leading periodicals of both capitals, together with Marshak took up work in the children's magazine "New Robinson". In 1928 he headed the editorial board of the children's magazine "Johan". He was regularly published in various publications, signing himself as “Makar the Furious”.
Since the beginning of 1937, Nikolai Makarovich headed another magazine for children, Cricket. But all life and creative plans of the writer were cut short by the arrest that followed on July 3, 1937. Charged with counter-revolutionary activity, he was shot the same year on November 24.
