Galina Andreeva is a Soviet social psychologist. Galina hails from Kazan, is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, studied at the philosophical faculty of Moscow State University in 1950. In 1966 she received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, and in 1968 she became a professor. In the period from 1972 to 1989, Andreeva was the head of the department, and since 1989 - Professor of the Department of Social Psychology of the Psychological Faculty.
Galina has been a full member of RAO since 1993.

Galina hails from Kazan, is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, studied at the philosophical faculty of Moscow State University in 1950. In 1966 she received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, and in 1968 she became a professor. In the period from 1972 to 1989, Andreeva was the head of the department, and since 1989 - Professor of the Department of Social Psychology of the Psychological Faculty.
Galina has been a full member of RAO since 1993. She was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the second degree, the Red Star, the Friendship of Peoples, medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War in the period 1941-1945", as well as the medal of Charles University. She is a laureate of the Lomonosov II degree award, she was awarded the titles “Honored Professor of Moscow State University” and “Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation”.
Andreeva’s research interests are social psychology, sociology, attributive processes and cognitive social psychology. Galina Andreeva is engaged in the development of social psychology as a science. She is the founder of the Department of Social Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology.
Galina gave lectures on methods of social research, on social psychology, led special courses and seminars “Foreign social psychology of the XX century”, “Methodological problems of socio-psychological research” and “Psychology of social cognition”. She had the opportunity to lecture at universities in Sweden, the Czech Republic, England, Germany, Finland, Italy, the USA and Hungary.
Andreeva managed to prepare nine doctors of science and forty-five candidates. Galina published more than 160 scientific papers, including “Symbolic Interactionism”, “Atributive Processes” and others, and also participated in the publication of research materials “Social Psychology and Social Practice”.
