Bogomil Rainov was born on June 19, 1919 in Sofia. He studied at Sofia University. In 1941 he published his first collection of poems. After World War II, the writer published several novels and collections of short stories in which he touched upon social and moral problems and told about the struggle of the resistance. Bogomil Rainov was born on June 19, 1919 in Sofia. He studied at Sofia University. In 1941 he published his first collection of poems. After World War II, the writer published several novels and collections of short stories in which he touched upon social and moral problems and told about the struggle of the resistance. In 1963, his detective novel The Inspector and the Night was published, on which the film of the same name was soon filmed. Fame Bogomil Rainov brought a series of adventure novels, united by the main character, scout Emil Boev: “Mr. Nobody”, “There is nothing like bad weather”, “Big Boredom” and others. For most of them, feature films were staged, in the work on which, as well as on the film “Inspector and the Night”, the writer participated as a screenwriter. In addition, Bogomil Rainov is the author of a number of works on aesthetics and fine arts (“Artistic craftsmanship”). His pen also belongs to the literary work “Black Novel”, dedicated to the study of this direction of detective and adventure literature.
