Vera Khitilova is a Czech screenwriter and director. Vera studied at the Faculty of Architecture, worked as an assistant director and designer. He graduated from FAMU in Prague, having received a directorial education. Khitilova made her debut in feature films with the film About Something Else in 1963, where she demonstrated an excellent example of working on the border of feature and documentary films.

Vera studied at the Faculty of Architecture, worked as an assistant director and designer. He graduated from FAMU in Prague, having received a directorial education. Khitilova made her debut in feature films with the film About Something Else in 1963, where she demonstrated an excellent example of working on the border of feature and documentary films.

"Margarettes" In terms of not only content, but also artistic form. The film was very spectacular, inventive, stylish in its decision, which is characteristic of the Faith.
Beginning with the tape “Dagery” Khitilova developed the poetics of the absurd. The satire in the paintings of Faith is always skipped through the customs of Kafka or modern philosophical fiction. However, most often "absurd" can be only one but significant for the picture detail.
After the film "Dags" Khitilova began to appear in the movies quite rarely. She had to create ads. The same films where she tried to be herself and criticize the regime were severely censored.
Despite all the setbacks associated with working in cinema in her homeland, Vera Khitilova decided not to leave the country, which was later explained to her in the film “Khitilova vs. Forman – the realization of continuity” in 1981. The film was created in the “stagnant” for Belgian television times.
In the second half of the eighties, Hitilova had to get precious creative freedom, but her films “The Fool and the Queen”,
"Hoof here, hoof there." With all their aesthetic perfection, they seemed marked by the sign of Mannerism.
Later she also had to remove several tapes. In particular, she directed such films as “Inheritance, or Get Off, Boy!” and “Expulsion from Paradise.”
