Too little is known about the young promising director Konstantin Maksimov to write a full-fledged biography. He does not like to talk about himself, he does not like journalists very much. Too little is known about the young promising director Konstantin Maksimov to write a full-fledged biography. He does not like to talk about himself, he does not like journalists very much. But the fact that Maksimov literally broke into the cinematic world with his fantastic
picture "Forbidden reality" I don’t think he’s left out.
The debut film of the director was a talented adaptation of the work “Smersh-2” by writer Vasily Golovachev. This is the story of former counterintelligence officer Matvey Sobolev, a man who went into deep underground to never again face weapons, war, or the world of violence. But life does not give him a peaceful existence. Learning that humanity is in mortal danger, the hero cannot stand aside: he is forced, abandoning the simple human essence, to enter into an unequal battle with those who have superpowers to save the Earth. The film starred beautiful actors - Igor Petrenko, Alexander Baluev, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Tina Kandelaki, Love Tolkalina, Lev Prygun.
Talking about the work on the film, Maksimov admitted that he was always attracted to the world of fiction and unreality. And the more incredible the fantasy, the more he likes the material. The book and film have been compared to The Night Watch, but Konstantin strongly disagrees with this analogy. He believes that these are different genres, different events and different film language.
Maxim Konstantinov is still making only the first steps in cinema, but viewers are looking forward to new films from him and believe that they will be no less exciting than his debut work.
