Arkady Yakovlevich Sakhnin (October 5, 1910, Lugansk – 1999) – Russian prose writer, publicist, essayist. Graduated from the Institute of Foreign Trade (Moscow, 1936). Member of the CPSU since 1939 Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Born into a typewriter family. Worked in railway transport. He worked as a correspondent for "The Hood."
During the war he was a correspondent of a front-line newspaper, editor of a divisional newspaper. In 1942 he was seriously wounded. He was awarded two orders and eight medals.
The first stories were published in 1943 in a front-line newspaper. The first novel “Clouds at Dawn” – in 1954. In the following years he published novels and essay books.
He regularly appeared in Pravda, Izvestia, Komsomolskaya Pravda.
