She studies music in her hometown. At the age of fourteen he entered the Conservatory "San Pietro a Magella" in Naples, where he studied composition with Serrao, playing the organ with M. E. Bossi, playing the piano with Martucci. On the recommendation of L. Muñone, the publisher Songzoño ordered him to perform the opera “Criminal Life”, which was successfully staged in Vienna and Berlin. After the failure of Queen Diaz (1894) and the termination of the contract with Sonzoño, Giordano was going to teach fencing. But the publisher (on the advice of Franchetti) orders him a new work, the opera "Andre Chenier", staged with triumph in 1896. In the same year, Giordano married Olga Spatz, the daughter of the owner of the Hotel Milan (where Verdi, with whom Giordano communicated, died). Having consolidated his success in the future, especially thanks to Fedora, Giordano receives great recognition abroad. Major operas: The Crime of Life (1892; 1897 - under the title of the Vow), André Chenier (1896), Fedora (1898), Siberia (1903), Mary's Month (1910), Madame Sant-Jean (1915).
