Prose writer, poet, translator and film dramatist Konstantin Shishkan confidently occupies his own niche in the literary sky of his native Moldova. A native of Chisinau, where he was born in 1933, he established himself as a talented author of novels, short stories and novels, as well as a screenwriter who worked on the first children's films in the republic.
The childhood of the future author was overshadowed by the war - when the Nazis invaded his homeland, the young Kostya was in a concentration camp. After the war, he entered the University of Chisinau at the Faculty of History and Philology, whose diploma he received in 1958. And the first literary works of the young writer were published in 1952.
Over the years of his long career Shishkan has published about thirty books with a total circulation of more than a million copies. In 1972, Konstantin Borisovich first tried himself as a screenwriter, working on the children’s adventure film “Saved Name”. In the future, two more films were released according to his scripts - a story about difficult-to-educate children "Nikushor from the TV tribe" and a melodrama.
