Arbuckle Roscoe (known under the nickname Fatty, Fatty, literally fat) (24.03.1887 - 30.06.1933), American comedian of the silent film era. He began in vaudeville, in the cinema with 1908. He became famous in numerous comedies of the studio of M. Sennet, where his partner was Charlie Chaplin and other stars of this studio. In 1917 he founded his own film production, successfully promoting his nephew Buster Keaton. But on the crest of success, Fatty was blamed for the young actress' death as a result of rape. This scandal (although legally justified) led to newspaper harassment and blacklisting of Arbuckle. With the help of friends, he remained in the film industry as a director, but in the credits was listed under a pseudonym (William Goodrich, Goodrich).
