Reginald Hill is an English writer, a resident of Yorkshire, where he settled the main characters of almost all his novels. Fame brought him the novel “Sociable woman” (1970), in which he first introduced readers to his heroes – the head of criminal investigation Andrew Dalziel and his young assistant Peter Pasco. These bright colorful images immediately fell in love with readers. Between 1972 and 1990, Hill wrote nine more novels.
