In order to survive, they need something to do 90 minutes, the main characters in such films do not die. Truth be told, I would love this movie because I love action movies from the beginning of zero. They are not always perfectly thought out script and plot, but there is always its own atmosphere, no matter what stupidity and bacchanalia did not occur on the screen you did not notice it very much, since some were immersed in what was happening on the screen that you were not before, there was a complete enthusiasm in what was happening on the screen. This is one of the signs of a good action movie - it can keep the viewer in suspense, so do not take your eyes off the screen. But this film is not endowed with such quality. It is incredibly boring and predictable.
He has a lot of problems and problems. And the thing is, this film is a family movie format, which is shown on TV in the evening on some local channel. Here somewhere there such a format ok, on the viewer of this level and this will come down, but if you evaluate more and more on a scale in all severity, the film is simply not viable.
The first big problem is a small budget. They simply could not show the scale of the disaster. Showed only a couple of shots 2-3 destroyed houses and smoke/fire against the background of the panorama of the city. And I wouldn't even take that into account if it weren't for one thing. The film took what it couldn't swallow. He talks about the Los Angeles disaster and threatens to destroy it, and he shows this, a couple of dilapidated houses. I think in a city of more than 13 million people after the earthquake, the panorama of the city looks worse than a couple of dilapidated houses. At such moments, you simply do not believe the film, desires disappear and it becomes boring to watch.
The second big problem is the plot. A strong independent woman who raises her son alone and pursues a career. Like a superhero. And it seems to me that someone there, when he invented the character of this character, really wanted to make her a superhero according to all the canons of the genre, as superheroes of comic books and deprived her of her native person. What do all superheroes have in common? That's right, they lost family. It's the same here. Why do that and put it into a story without a clue? We could spin the plot around something else, but alas, a movie cliché.
The third trouble is the main villain. An evil corporation in which one motivation is money. Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Being so unoriginal. Moving on.
4 The trouble of the film is acting. Here is a touching scene, a story about some events from the past of the main characters, begins the touching music (which by the way clearly stands out against the general background more than necessary, for this to fire the sound engineer is necessary) and the character looks at his feet, wipes his cheek, whines... well, are you serious? This is an action movie with guns and blood, not a children's play.
Speaking of action in this with permission, speaking to the militant. The film was clearly made too family friendly (acceptable for family viewing) and it is felt everywhere. To beat someone lying down with a bat, no. Giving guns to villains and not firing a single shot, yes. But you can throw a net, yeah, it's good, it's kind of action, yeah. Well, imagine the situation, you've captured the villain, you've got him on the gun, he's done what you asked him to do, and I think it's pretty clear that the smart thing to do is kill the mercenary they sent to kill you. In some other movie it would have been, but not here.
You can sit and list the problems of this film for a long time, but I am too lazy to sit and do it, I already regret that I spent time watching it, so I will wrap up.
What do you think about this film? Um, let's think there's a normal in it, no, it's too strong a word in this case ... tolerant, it's better suited.
Tolerable fist fights (in some cases it was 50/50 watchable), scenes with helicopter control (although no pilot was found for the film) and an attractive main actress (after a shower in a bathrobe looked normal like this). What happens 1-2-3, all 3.
Don’t waste your time on it, the film is no and the box office is $150 to that confirmation.
