Kinogeniy and Trash. Part 3. Tibor Takacs, a talent from Budapest, differs from his fellow thrash modelers in a variety unprecedented for the genre. During his directing career, he shot about Sabrina, and about Red Shoe, disaster films and action films with Dacascos, and recently tried in vain to make a criminal comedy action movie “Lies and Illusions”. But I know him mostly from horror movies: Mosquito Man, Depth Monster, Megasmey, all of his creations. And the "Ice Spiders" I'm going to talk about.
“Ice Spiders” is my favorite movie about spiders. Although it seems that the film is ordinary and there is nothing to admire it from almost all sides. And it’s not my perverse craving for Asylum movies – there’s really a lot to see here.
First, the scene is not gray cities or dull secret bases, but picturesque terrain, snowy expanses and clear mountain air. There are no dark moments that particularly irritate me in action movies and horrors here - it is always light and white. And the ski scenes are made beautifully and with knowledge. Such conditions are ideal for cannibal spiders.
Spiders in this film are a separate subject. I have never seen such beautiful people in such films. Each spider is unique and does not resemble others in color or structure. Of course, they are not very different in behavior, but this is nothing. But there are many of them and they practically do not leave the screen all the time trying to catch hapless skiers. In general, the action of the film is enough, boring moments characteristic of the genre are not found here.
Actors in such films rarely want to praise, much more often they want to kick. Surprisingly, everyone is playing decent. Patrick Muldoon and Vanessa Williams are no longer new to television, each has a track record full of films and TV series, so they fought with spiders with dignity, as befits professionals.
Like I said, Ice Spiders is the best eight-legged horror movie I've ever seen. I can only recommend it to those who love and understand this movie. The rest of us should not watch this movie. Pleasure you will not get and the reason to put the tape a minimum assessment - quite.
