You can see a lot with your eyes. Here are some works from which you hardly expect anything, and they are pleasantly surprising. This is what happened with the anime Speed Grapher. The story of a former war photographer who received incredible power from a girl, and now tries to save her and himself from evil.
Anime is designed for adults. There are vulgar moments, a lot of blood and dismemberment. There are things that are definitely not for children.
It's not a perfect piece. There's enough. I rarely criticize images, visuals or graphics. But you have to. Very budgetary. I know it’s a Gonzo studio and it’s their style, but I had to add it. Especially combat scenes. It's very sloppy in some places. Anime has enough cliché, stupidity and illogicality. So many pianos and guns to match. In the end, it's forgotten.
Now for the good. I just give a lot of points to the main character. The main character in anime is always such a headache. And here it's a grown man. Not an infuriating OYash (an ordinary Japanese schoolboy), as always happens. He has a character, a fully formed character. That's a huge plus. I'll mark the main villain. Yeah, a lot of standard shortcuts and twists with it, but it's pretty good. They described his story in detail and explained his goals. All the other characters are weak. A lot of heroes, I don't know why they did that. I liked the various mini villains. That's the main character. It's too "girl in trouble." It is so useless that it is terrible.
Interesting story development, though not without flaws. The whole story is original in some places. And, most importantly, there is a tie, measured development and a whole ending.
The anime is not perfect, but it is well worth watching.

I recommend it.
