“An ordinary guy, there’s nothing to cling to.” (c) I watched this movie for the first time in the first or second year after it was released. Then my grade was 9. Revisited now not without pleasure, but reduced to 8 against the background of comparison with other parodies viewed over the past years.
Scenario. The last time I watched Comedy Club was years ago, but according to the list of writers, at least three of them are residents. Maybe I'm wrong.
Of the entire script group, I still know only two, and I only know Tair Mammadov thanks to Bad Comedian. But Vadim Galygin I knew even before the first viewing of this movie, on the native, Belarusian team of KVN (I am Belarusian). And after the release of the film “This is love!” (2013) even more respected. By the way, he wrote the script for it in co-authorship with Kirill Sitnikov, who is part of the script group of the film under review.
In general, the team of writers created a good parody on a large number of typical, stamped along and across, American detectives. At the end of the article, he said it was a Russian detective. No, not even so: "A very Russian detective"! Therefore, do not look for meaning in the actions of the maniac, it is useless: he acted simply from the soul, from the whole Russian soul, therefore with such a sweep (smile).
Actors. My very beloved and deeply respected Yuri Stoyanov (detective), one of the founding fathers (I will not be afraid of this word) of the legendary program “The Town”, on which I grew up, as always, played brilliantly. No matter where he is, he always plays in a way that has nothing to blame. I was delighted with the appearance on the screen Dmitry Brekotkin (pizza delivery) from the favorite KVN team "Ural dumplings". I liked makeup Vadim Galygin (pathologist). I can’t say anything about the other actors: their performance didn’t catch on, but it didn’t disappoint, or they had small roles. And gathered in the film, by the way, a large team of modern Russian comedy actors: Olga Tumaykin and Alexander Aleshko (Malda and Scanner), Mikhail Schatz (forensic), Andrey Kaikov (priest), etc.
Slow Motion. I can’t say whether the overseas effect of slow motion was used in domestic films in 2008 as often as it is now, but at the time of the first viewing for me it was another element of parody of American films. Although now it is inserted wherever you get and where you are not lazy, therefore, with a recent viewing, the footage from slow-mo has not produced the proper effect. At the moment, our viewers are fed up with it. And in this film, the use of such technology still seems to me an element of parody.
Humor. Of course, this is full of low-grade humor, but in my opinion, the parody of low-quality could not go too far from the original, otherwise it would not be a parody. The so-called sartire jokes are a good thing, and it still contributed to a slight decrease in my grade. At the beginning, I did not understand why the character of Maxim Konovalov was called Brad Pitt, but then the disclosure of the plot made me laugh.
Titles. I want to highlight them separately, because the animation looks original and beautiful. Plus a suitable musical composition in the background. And you won’t be confused who played who in the picture, thanks to this graphic. I remember these titles from the first view.
Also a pleasant impression was left by a remix of a children's song by the wonderful composer Vladimir Shainsky "ABVGDake" and animation with the letters of the Russian alphabet throughout the film.
By the way. When I saw on the KP how old Andrey Gavrilov is (voice by frame, reading the inscriptions just like in the movies of the 90s with one difference: that voice was nefarious), I did not believe: at the time of the film’s release, he was 55 years old, and the voice sounds much younger, which cannot but surprise!
Over. The picture is likely to appeal, mainly, only to the younger generation, already accustomed to so many lower-belt jokes that on TV, that in the big movie and at the same time watched similar American typical detectives. Since I am a member of this generation, I like this movie.
