Bride to slaughter A movie that doesn’t have a main character, everyone gets a little bit. I pay tribute to the director - I managed to emphasize the character of each hero with one scene, picking up a separate one for each - forgiveness in a few words of the prodigal daughter-in-law, a fight with a violent patient, sending a money transfer from the mail, a stolen photo, dancing in a wedding dress, repentance of a daring son. The rest is the background, which, in general, could be changed as you like - only their personal scenes said about the character and thoughts of the characters. Bewilderment caused only one strange move - the constant disappearance of the owner of the dating agency, which was probably supposed to show his slippery nature, but in fact gave the dramatic, in general, a shade of jokes.
“Bride to order” is a film about a strange business that accidentally connects several heroes – at one end of the chain, a lonely doctor Oleg performed by the sad Sergei Chonishvili, on the other – a clearly suffering from Oedipus complex, an obtuse young man Max. This specific business is built on “preparing” brides for the issuance of promising clients in the right way. The way it reveals its essence is shocking, despite its obvious fantasticity.
Not to say that this film is full of passions, but rather there is a general sad mood when everyone has something to regret. Most of all, frankly, Oleg was sorry, even purely for practical reasons - what a guy is missing! Chonishvili and his voice are both incomparable - somewhere came across the statement that Sergei Chonishvili and Voice Chonishvili are two separate artists. Just +1 to the author.
The film is not a masterpiece, but does not let you get bored, it is for a quiet evening. In the finale there is a hint of Chekhov’s understatement, but, in general, everyone can easily finish the last scenes in their imagination.
