Father and son. . I'm not a fan of short films. Little time does not allow characters to open up, etc. But the painting “This Side Up” surprised me and cheered me up. For eight minutes to experience an episode of someone's life, and even think about what he saw. That's not bad, even very good.
Everything revolves around two undertakers: a father and a son. The first is an expert in his field, treats work as it should. The second is also an expert, only he boils energy. Although their work is not fun, the son tries to treat it creatively, and therefore all their troubles with his father. However, thanks to dedication and professional correctness, both get away with it. What struck me the most was my father, who said nothing in the whole film. In the end, he wants to say something to his son, but his feelings overwhelm him and he hugs him like a father. And it's worth a thousand words.
The story reminds me of Krylov’s fables. Short and moral. The moral in this fable is this: always do your work qualitatively and to the end and then everything will be fine.
