To learn more about her recently deceased mother, Julia travels to Australia for two months to visit her aunt. The latter owns his own riding school, where he manages to teach everyone how to work with knights, and re-educate difficult teenagers.
The trip promises to be fun, as the residents of the school are constantly stuck in different stories, one another detective.
As one of the directors was the producer of the series “Mysterious Portal”, he also shot, perhaps, the well-known series “The Wizard”.
Characters, unlike the heroes of the Mysterious Portal, do not cause sympathy. Not that they were completely disgusting, just, as it seems to me, the authors bet on their ordinaryity and greatly overdid. And also periodically strayed from the intended course. Well, for example, Julia, like the main character, because screen time is given to her a little more than all the others. Outwardly, the girl is nothing, fully educated, moderately ordinary, but with periodically progressive brain deficit.
Vince is a difficult teenager, a thief, a deceiver, a five-minute student of a correctional institution. In fact, it's a good idea.
Reggie is the female version of Vince, the light version. Also absolutely nothing complex, uneducated and te te te, throughout the series, the only thing that wriggles wildly is its appearance - burnt uncoated patches, seemingly unwashed, covered with creepy clothes, a far from ideal figure and endless short T-shirts. The funny thing is that the actress in a short time grew into a very attractive woman.
Shane is an ordinary country guy, hardworking, but simple as a log, and dumb. At first, his constantly resentful and aggressive facial expression is very much strained, but then you get used to it.
Jake is a young technical genius, the most adequate character from the teenage brotherhood, although the youngest.
Tori is the caretaker of the zoo and Jake’s mother. A good aunt, however, on the screen there is more for the tick - she does not bring up children, looks after them as if by the way, and sometimes her actions as responsible for minors cause serious doubts.
In short, the images of the characters are terribly contradictory, the selection of actors leaves much to be desired, but, nevertheless, everything is not so bad as to spit bile and curse brainless authors.
If you compare again with the “Mysterious Portal”, “Sleuths” are slightly less pleasant to view. Firstly, because of the characters already presented, secondly, because of the somewhat greater content of romance, and the same uncultual as in the Portal, and thirdly, due to the fact that each story stretches into several episodes, as a result of which you have to watch either 6 at once (for example) in a row, or break away in the most interesting place, and this is not good.
But the series is really over, and the desire to know how the lives of its heroes continued does not arise. Of course, the authors do not disclose the fate of everyone, but hint at what will be done next at least the same Vince. The others are pretty clear, too. In general, in the end everything is so good that it is disgusting.
In short, if you want to admire Australia, stare at horses and watch a child-teenage unstressed series with elements of a detective, you are right here. But for something more complicated, the other way.
