Village tales visiting an incredibly delusional thrash Jesus Christ! Let no one ever make films like this again! I have no idea how to explain my righteous anger and burning indignation more clearly, but The Mystery of the Old Cemetery is such a terrible, contrived, implausible, nauseating and badly funny thrash that every minute you watch it, you wonder how the people involved in creating this unimaginable squalor did not realize what they were doing. Tell me someone: in the minds of the director and his team have at least the slightest idea of what cinema is, what horror is and how actors should play on the set? Because this film is a great mockery of the audience. Especially over the audience's patience: to sculpt such heresy in two hours, you need to be a real fascist.
I won't even go into details. Just to give a comparison: imagine that in some village Likhodeevka, where there are always drunk men and women digging the garden, where everyone frantically honors a million and one omen, where mysticism is on everyone’s lips, and at night black cats beat mirrors with empty buckets ... so, there is a postman walking every Friday and handing out to residents the newspaper “Oracle for the Poor” or “Tales from the People’s Crypt”. The newspaper is full of heresy about evil resurrections, werewolves, horoscopes, life events (" I came home and went to another world. Stepan, Mr. Kostroma, etc., etc. Men and women believe in everything that is written there, and they know nothing worthwhile about the world outside Likhodeevka. So this movie, which I had a lot of trouble watching, is just for them. Because a normal person knows that no such zombies can be called “biobots”, what nonsense; because the rotten hand of a dead person does not look like sticks clasped with black soil and rags; because ...
As you understand, the director did not think that his creation should be a full-fledged coherent story with good design. Forget it. There is nothing here for your mind, for your heart, for your liver, or for a genuine sense of fear. The film causes sincere indignation by the fact that it looks indigestible and generally represents an incomprehensible stupid childishness. And if you decide, let’s say, really commit suicide, then “The Mystery of the Old Cemetery” is a great option: if you look at this misery, you will be disappointed in life where there is such a “movie”, and rather fulfill your sinful task. I'm sorry for the anger, but the movie didn't wake me up. Only a strong hatred for its creators, who did not bother to burn the film before they brazenly began editing. And then there would be one less disgusting thrash in the world. Amen.
