A spiritually useful story, seen in early youth and preserved by memory. One of those films of early youth, which left its mark on the emerging soul, did not pass without a trace. Social drama of the late socialist period, which can be attributed to the direction of "moral anxiety". As a child, even Serbia seemed to be a very Western country. The drooling flowed as the young guys raced not on the “Javas” and “Chezets”, but on the “Hondas” and “Yamas”. But, motorcycle brands have long been erased from memory, but the story itself is not.
The audience is presented with a youth company, not bad or good, ordinary guys of the 80s. Not thieves, not gopniks, but also not good boys and girls. At the center of this company is a couple in love, Bané and Spring. For the first time, they will be separated for two months, and for the first time they will spend a farewell night together. This night gives birth to a new life, Spring flies away, but under her heart already beats another, tiny heart. The mother of the girl, taking care of her daughter, says that the guy cheats on her, thereby triggering the mechanism of subsequent dramatic events. Characters of heroes, motivation and actions are very recognizable. The story reflects the reality of the time (or not?). An important role, and perhaps decisive, was played by the fact that if the young biker is most likely destined for the life path of his father-an auto mechanic, then the parents-intelligents of the girl have ambitious plans for the future of her daughter. She flies to Paris to get a diploma, and here she learns about “treason”. The "deceived" and resentful Spring decides to have an abortion, but it's too late. And here, pushing the mistakes of youth into the background, a stunningly cynical, parental practice comes into play. Not wanting to “break the life” of the daughter, but more fearing rumors and “shame”, the mother implements a “genius” plan. An infertile couple from Germany arrives in Serbia to pick up a newborn. It is worth noting the peculiarity of this (and only this?) godless time. People think about anything, about social status, about career, about the opinion of others. No one thinks about the child himself (because man came into the world) and about the moral consequences, how to live with it? Can a woman who kills or gives her child into the wrong hands be happy? And what will turn family relations between women, thanks to the “careful participation” of the mother, it is terrible to imagine. But such are the realities of life in which value orientations are displaced or replaced.
Removed from participation in the events, the baby’s father, finding Spring hidden by his parents, does not agree to the role of a silent extra and kidnaps the child from the “buyers”. And here a miracle happens. The “unnecessary” baby becomes the center of attention and love. The whole company is looking after him and his parents. Spring, like a sleeping beauty, "wakes up" from her nightmare, in which her mother immersed her. Although the relevant documents have already been signed, and the law is formally on the German side, the young people clearly do not agree with this and are ready for desperate, decisive actions. Another awakened man, the father of Spring, seeing children ready to fight for the truth in spite of everything, regains the taste of a life in which material goods are not an absolute value.
Almost thirty years later, I watched with no less concern the mistakes and their correction, the formation of the characters of young people, against the background of the “right”, incredibly cynical world of adults.
Cinema is not perfect in artistic terms, the main disadvantage is casting. Guys who must be 19 years old are much older actors. Nevertheless, the film was revisited with pleasure, for the sake of the storyline. Suitable for both private and family viewing, followed by discussion.
