He wasn’t looking for anyone, love found him. In the distant 70s, fate brought one person to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. To pass the time, he went to the cinema and watched a movie. He didn’t remember the title of the movie, but the movie was very good. It was a German movie about a doctor. Nearly 40 years later, this man asked me to find a German movie about a doctor. Not immediately, but I did his bidding. This film was the film “I am looking for you” with Otto Wilhelm Fisher and Anouk Eme in the lead roles.
After a very long search, and as you know, how much we wanted the long-awaited, this film was viewed.
The film is wonderful: sincere, kind, about the very love that happens and which, alas, does not last long.
In this film, people don’t shout about love, they just feel sympathy for each other, respect and on the basis of this there is a deep feeling.
I'm not a great love expert, but one thing I know for sure is that love is sacrifice. Few people are capable of giving their lives in the name of love for the life of another person. In the film “I am looking for you”, the director clearly demonstrated this.
Why do some movies turn you inside out and others don’t? Because those who make them put a piece of their soul into it. Otto Wilhelm Fischer invested in this film completely, without a trace, both as a director and as an actor.
After watching the movie, I experienced a spiritual catharsis. Isn’t that an example of true art?
God takes away the best very quickly and they become the flagship for us, the standard of how to live, what it means to live according to conscience, what it means to feel a shoulder and a sense of duty. That’s what the movie is about, “I’m looking for you.”
The main character, which was performed by the brilliant Anouk Eme coped with her role, for which I thank her separately.
To all lovers of a good touching movie, I sincerely recommend this film to watch.
