cool views of India, a rather interesting plot, of course, not without the Indian flavor - dancing, strange humor and so on, there are several moments directly touching. Love it! The whole family watched.
Three Idiots is a 2009 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani with Aamir Khan, Madhawan and Karina Kapoor. This film is a classic story about friendship, love and the pursuit of their passions. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel “Five Point Someone” and is set against the background of an engineering college.
The film revolves around the lives of three engineering college students - Rancho (played by Aamir Khan), Farhan (played by R. Madhavan) and Raju (played by Sharman Joshi). These three friends share a unique bond as they go through years of college and realize the true meaning of education, friendship, and life. The film combines humor, heart and thought-provoking moments, which makes it a must-watch for everyone who likes to laugh well and cheer up.
Aamir Khan plays the role of Rancho, a quirky and extraordinary engineering student. He brings humor and charm to the image and stole the show through his comedy play and facial expressions. Madhavan is no less impressive as Farhan, an engineering student looking for his true calling. Karina Kapoor plays the love interest of Rancho and brings a touch of glamour to the film.
The film is shot magnificently, with breathtaking scenery and stunning architecture. Cinematography is at the highest level and conveys the essence of Indian culture and lifestyle. The film's music is also noteworthy: songs like "Aal Izz Well" and "Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh" instantly became hits.
One of the most notable aspects of The Three Idiots is its strong message about the importance of following your passion and pursuing what makes you truly happy. The film depicts the struggles of students who are forced to live up to society’s expectations and the pressures placed on them to conform to the traditional image of a successful engineer. The film encourages viewers to think outside the box and follow their dreams, no matter how unconventional they may be.
In conclusion, Three Idiots is a must-see movie for anyone looking for an easy and uplifting movie. It’s an ageless classic that will bring a smile to your face and leave you with a message that will stay with you long after the credits go through. This film is a testament to the power of friendship, love and passion, and is a true masterpiece of Indian cinema. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, I highly recommend you do it!
If you have any problems, put your hand on your heart and tell him, “It’s okay!” It's okay!
A pleasant comedy melodrama from director Rajkumar Hirani. The movie was very good in every way. The screenwriter, director, cameraman and actors tried their best. The film looks with great interest, causing at times a smile, laughter and tears.
In addition to jokes and wit, the film touches on topical not only in India, the problem of suicide of students from the “impossible complexity” of the curriculum. In addition, the film encourages you to learn to constantly improve yourself in your field, think creatively and at the same time critically, the only way you can solve the problems and challenges that will arise on your way both in life and in your career. The main character of the film says that it is very bad to study just for the sake of rote learning and diploma.
Actor Aamir Khan used to like his performance. But in this film, he struck a world-class level of acting. I fell in love with myself forever. For me, he is now the true king of Bollywood. And Shahrukh Khan moved to second place.
As for Karina Kapoor, I can confidently say that this is one of her best roles.
Very impressed by the beauty of nature, the final scene of the meeting between the main character and the heroine.
In this film, Indian cinematography has outgrown itself and now looks serious and dignified.
I would definitely recommend the movie!
For those who need a positive emotional shake-up, "Three Idiots" is like a doctor prescribed. A very successful film about students who confront imaginable and unthinkable obstacles in densely populated India, a country where more films are produced each year than in Hollywood.
In order not to delay for later, I will tell you that the film has only two drawbacks: a little too much with toilet humor and excessive drag. If I were a director, I would cut the time to two hours. “Three Idiots” is good mainly because it combines very unexpected humor with common sense. It is he who, along with self-control, helps friends get out almost dry of the water. The real hero of our time is Rancho. Those who are lucky to meet such people can safely call themselves lucky in life, because there are no insoluble situations for them. Well, with rare exceptions, like a squeezed paste that can't be put back in. A distinctive feature of Rancho and his like is modest behavior. Possessing skills that conventional Farhan and Raju can only dream of, such uniques prefer to remain in the shadows. And yet, they do reach great heights.
Revenge against bullies, conflicts with a harmful teacher named Virus, the impact on the lives of his daughters - every time it seems that the film has nothing to surprise us, something extraordinary happens, causing both admiration and laughter. If you ask what is the most recognizable feature of Indian films, I will surprise you by saying that it is not dance at all. The main thing that can be traced in many tapes of India is explicit or implicit hints of fate, with which even logic and common sense are successfully intertwined. This is really interesting.
A positive film that at the same time makes you breathe a sad breath. If all people were to pursue activities that bring joy, the world would be a much better and happier place. Perhaps that will happen someday. As soon as possible.

P. On the cover of frank magazines that flash in one scene, you can see Tara Reed and Taya Parker.
A must-see film for all generations of men: under the guise of a mischievous incendiary comedy, there is so much priceless philosophy for raising both a parent and a child! Girls - with caution, the jokes of the film are somewhat vulgar, the mussel lady in my face at the first viewing turned somewhat red. Can you tell me what else is good in Indian cinema? PK liked much less - too fabulous introductory.
I might not have watched this movie, but I decided to choose a movie from the IMDB Top 250 list. Consider it a dietary heroism.
Now I'm sure that the Indian films on that list are after a cheat from some action in India to bring their product to the top. I’ve only seen two Indian films on this list, this one and ‘Stars in the Sky’ 39. There is also 'Dangal' And in all three starred Aamir Khan. I’m not paranoid (yes, that’s exactly what I would say), but it feels like the presence of these films on this grand list has something to do with Aamir Khan, and that one day India decided to annoy China and disliked TikTok in epstor and placer. You can do it if you want.
As I said, the first movie I had the misfortune to see was 'Stars in the Sky'. Also about the education system. Aamir Khan must have some childhood trauma related to school and college. You know, the kind of trauma that leads to your movie being more like a 2D cartoon. If not technically, then the plot is accurate.
It's not that I disagree with the filmmakers' position that institutions are schizophrenic and that we're going to teach the heirs their stupidity for years, if not decades. Starting a school year or a semester, and you come on a couple on, I don't know, ethics. And the teacher begins with the fact that he will not leave this to students so easily, and that he will not put machines at the session. Meanwhile, you are studying in the specialty ' Safety Engineer' and do not quite understand the aggression of some passing character who will only be with you for six months.
In fact, the film appeals to this topic often. Rashes on the face cause methods to which the authors resort. Did you hear about the story that NASA did not think to take a pencil into space, but made a pen that writes under high pressure, in high and low temperatures, can write under water and on any surface? We could have just taken a pencil, but spent millions on development. If you’ve ever been on social media, you’ve definitely seen this story about unpragmatic engineers at NASA. Add to the same 'overton windows', ' pyramid of needs' and other gum. The authors of the film actually built the intellectual narrative of the film around this pop from the popular science environment. I think it’s fair for the filmmakers to conduct trainings on personal growth—thoughts, so to speak, beyond. Break the system.
The film, unfortunately, presents this as a sensation.
I understand that it is necessary to make a reservation that this is an Indian film and take into account the cultural context. But here's something I don't have a heart for 'considering'. What we see is hardly slender India in all its glory, but rather the image that the authors represent. And secondly, the film in the international list of IMDB, which, like the whole world is formed and kind of like a movie fan from Angola and a movie fan from Moldova see the film in the same cultural space.
That's what I mean. 2 hours 50 minutes. This movie runs 2 hours and 50 minutes. It's like 3 hours, but without 10 minutes. It's like why we didn't get to 4:00. It's like half season of the British sitcom 'Computers'. I don’t know why Indians have such long films. These engineers from NASA, of course, no better.
You can cut everything in this film. I understand the principle ' a gun should shoot' but, man, when the whole wall is hung with an entire arsenal, it is not necessary to arrange a cannonade. Everything is for the sake of the plot, and when I say everything, I mean like really all. I'm sorry, I switched to English - in the film, they did that a lot. There. The characters there are all flat, but their subject, so to speak, tinsel is part of the plot. Remember the vacuum cleaner at the beginning of the movie? It's vacuuming. Do you remember the switches at the beginning of the movie? We're gonna need them. Do you remember this piece of junk? I don't remember either, but it'll come in handy. I'm not kidding, even a ping-pong table was useful.
The reception of which is most often mocked in Indian cinema, that in the end all the characters of the film are brought to each other by relatives, is in some way present here. When drama is escalated and they find a way out of it, they immediately dump a new drama, and they immediately find a way out. And then again, and again, and again. There are a lot of twists to the ridiculous.
Since the authors of the film consider their audience fools, then at a comic moment they put hilarious music. And when tragedy strikes, so does the music 'boo-boo's sad. And it's not clear, suddenly the characters joke when they say ' You're to blame for the death of my brother!'.
I don’t understand the production process of the film. On what principle computer graphics are used. Then in one frame the car is real, in the next for some reason computer animation. Heroes stand by the sea. Some heroes are clearly on the sea, standing in the sand, and then the frame shows other heroes, and they are on the green screen. Then the whole group shifts to the side and now those who were on the green background suddenly found themselves on nature.
I will not diagnose this film. Obviously, because I'm not a doctor. But the film clearly needs the services of a specialist.
Yeah, and more. Aamir Khan is a completely expressionless actor. Then he's in some places autistic Raymond from 'Rain Man' then he's suddenly a bully Will Hunting from, you know, 'Good Will Hunting' Autistic bully and rebel for no apparent reason.

I waited three hours for something to finally start for which this film could earn such a rating, but the film continued to waste the time of my life aimlessly without bringing anything in return. But if my time is not returned, then at least I will try to save it for you.
It is difficult to write a review simply because there is practically no subject of review. Acting at the level of the amateur circle, jokes at the level of kindergarten, the plot is template. No, seriously, this is not a movie at all, but just gave some weirdoes a movie camera. Unless you listen to Indian dances and chants, but this is very much for the amateur.
And the point here is not in Bollywood, because there is a completely Western level of Indian cinema, but here the national flavor is so sticking out in all directions that it is even difficult for a Western person to take it seriously. The scenes shown do not believe (especially ' dramatic '), it seems that some moments were taken from other films, they just really wanted to insert somewhere.
Verdict: only for fans of Indian cinema.
“Incredible people teach me, then they offer shameful things.”
Raju and Farhan are sent in search of their friend Rancho, with whom they studied together during their student years. During the trip, the friends indulge in memories of how their legendary trio caused a rustle throughout the university. After studying, the roads of the comrades diverged and so no longer crossed. So what really happened to Rancho and why is it so hard to find now? . .
This Indian comedy is a test for an unprepared audience. The overall impression of the picture is very ambiguous. Here you feel the desire to meet the comedic standards of Western films dedicated to students, but the local color leads to the fact that it turns out some kind of thunderous film mix, which is difficult to react adequately. Elements of road-movie and ragged narration successfully bring a bit of vivacity, without which the three-hour format here would be simply unbearable. Dynamics becomes one of the main advantages of the whole picture. The story itself, although it does not become a revelation, but you can call it interesting without embarrassment.
Speaking without embellishment, the vast majority of jokes are idiotic and justify the title of the film by a hundred. From played gags, unfortunately, and then blows jokes with a beard. Musical numbers are for the amateur, but some can be classified as literally unbearable. Dramatic insertions are sometimes stuporous, and all the numerous philosophic arguments are at the elementary school level and cause a smile at best. Acting and ridiculous gestures in particular deserve almost a separate discussion in matters of perception by Western and Indian audiences, but in short, all this can be attributed closer to amateurism in KVN than to big cinema.
“Three Idiots” is a good film with enthusiasm, pleasant energy and a sublime desire to educate unconventional thinking. There is nothing to admire here, but the attention of fans of Indian filmmaking is definitely worth it. The rest with caution.
I put off watching this movie for a long time, thinking that it would not be very interesting, but now I can say with all responsibility that I have never been so wrong. What are the directors of the decaying West offering us? Allegedly the great Fellini shoots “Sweet Life”, where the character Mastroiani just walks, drinks and sleeps in the frame for 3 hours, Bergman shoots a completely incomprehensible “Persona”, and Hitchcock – “Psycho”: a film about a madman with a knife who dresses up his dead mother and kills innocent girls (another reason to think about what values are broadcast by the cult American director and Hollywood in general). The same opera includes Tarantino’s impossibly long, boring and meaningless dialogues, filmed for the American propaganda of Curtis’s Casablanca, as if Coppola’s hallucinogenic Apocalypse Now and his trilogy The Godfather glorifying mafia lawlessness. Recently, of course, Iñárritu could potentially shoot a good action movie about the man-bird "Birdman, but still the decline of American culture (Mexico is still experiencing a significant influence of the United States) influenced him, and the promising project the director turned into decadent reflections on the theater, apparently cutting out the most interesting shots of the action movie. It’s all about the values of Hollywood and decadent European cinema: “ringing vulgarity.”
It’s like we’re in a completely different world from 3 Idiots. The authors seemed to want to say that the idiots in this film are not the main characters, but often the viewer who wasted his time on the above films, but did not pay attention to this masterpiece of world cinema. Magnificently staged dances and great songs will not let you get bored, and the film itself brings light, kind, eternal, which is what cinema should do! The actors do not replay for a second, and the script is written by an unsurpassed master of the pen. Yes, you can argue that I too biased evaluation of this film, and in it, as in any other, there are some minor flaws, but I am sure the highest average rating on the Kinopoisk and reviews of film critics in general confirms my subjective opinion (I do not think that even the creators of the film knew that their creation would be so highly appreciated by foreign audience). In general, I recommend an immediate review!
Remember your college years? For some, this “era” was remembered for friendship and fun pastime, the first sensations of a certain freedom and a sense of offshoot from parental care; everyone has different feelings. Someone studied for the sake of the coveted crust, greedily pursuing higher balls, someone suffered from a light bum dipping headlong into the knowledge of independent life, and someone at all treated this period as opportunities to become better, improve their knowledge by learning something new, meet different people, discuss with them studied interests, share views, and find their future destination. So did the main character of the painting Rancho, a man not from the world of everything, able to change the lives of people around one simple truth that many do not notice. Listening to his heart, he strives for knowledge and does not participate in a crazy race for grades.
Life is a big race, you can’t beat someone else, they will overtake you! That's how parents teach, that's how they teach in school, that's how nature teaches, and that's how a sullen professor called the Virus teaches his students. Untolerant of defeat and unforgiving of the weaknesses of others, he is firm in his Spartan convictions, for he knows at what price he got a pen as the best student from his teacher. He expects the same zeal from his pupil, who will one day surpass him in order to hand him the pen. And he expected this from his son, predetermining his fate to become an engineer from the very birth. But fate was very different. For modern man, as for the main character of the picture Rancho, the race for prestigious places under the sun is an outdated belief, but alas, many still adhere to them. It's always a huge stress, a lot of pressure on the brain and suicides among students. What is the benefit of being the first? Will you improve your knowledge? Nope! You will overload your brain.
The movie was amazing. You can feel it when a movie is made with your soul. All the actors tried, all the scenes were thought out as follows, the visualization is beautiful, for the script bravo, the themes raised in the film are relevant and you can talk about them for a long time. The film can teach you to look at things from the other side, teach you to discard old beliefs that no longer work, learn to listen to yourself, to your desires, teach you to love, appreciate and enjoy life. Such a movie can be recommended to everyone who is tired of everything or something. Sit down and watch this movie. Your mood will change, and the difficulties will seem so trivial. The main thing is to put your hand on your heart and repeat: “All is well!”

How wonderful sometimes to find not the most popular, but amazing paintings. This time I came across one of 'diamonds' Bollywood. The film will be interesting primarily for graduate students, students and those who once belonged to this honorary caste & #39;.
Plot. The ranch is a unique student. He values his freedom, thinks unusually, and his behavior does not fall under the pattern and humility. In the engineering college, he meets two other students. This friendship will be the beginning of incredible adventures, through which the guys will go together.
The storyline surprises with its various options for the development of history. The viewer will be offered to watch funny, touching and tense moments. It's like life. The most curious are the scenes in which the characters, with the help of their ingenuity, get out of difficulties. I only have questions about Rancho's behavior toward Pia. Due to the unpleasant situation between them, the ending turned out to be a little strange.
Atmosphere. If you forgive the tape excessive tightness, then it will reward you with the most positive impressions. Magnificent acting of the crazy trio (singles, of course, Aamir Khan (Ranch)) and wonderful dialogue will cheer you up to the final credits. Mad fun will be replaced by the attempts of the characters to know themselves and the unfair world around them. The film touches on serious life dilemmas and makes you think about your own life.
'Perfect, and then success will come to you itself' - the picture teaches us.
Humor. I watched one of the funniest comedies. There is so much humor here that sometimes you get tired of laughing. I assure you, you have to see it yourself. It’s hard to pick out your favorite moments, but I’ll try. Let it be a scene where friends take an exam after they're late, and the kids talk to Raju in the hospital. Well, I can’t help but mention the golden quotes & #39, which are found throughout the tape. Below is one of them:
39 Country of Idiots: Pizza arrives in 30 minutes, but no ambulance. . .'
Music. The main genre I would call ' comedy-musical'. The film would not be a true Indian creation if there were no signature dances and songs. At the same time, the quality of such scenes will be at the highest level both in terms of movement and musical component.
Result. An amazing film that combines life philosophy and comedy. That's where else you'll see alternating family dramas, criticism of the education system and mild student carelessness? This is a fun and instructive film that I highly recommend you to read.
... that we would like to know pro knowledge, but were afraid to ask...
“3 Idiots” is a brilliant film that opened my acquaintance with the amazing Amir Khan.
Made as it were in Bollywood - and at the same time forget about the traditional tearful ' elephant dances' This kind of film is still being made in India, and it certainly has the right to live. That’s just we are closer to something else, and this film refers to just such a “Western type of cinema”.
This is a fascinating story about reckless students. Everyone who has studied at universities will surely see a lot of family and friends. And the way is the Indian dormitory, and the specific family traditions of the region - it is still very close to us.
What about the movie? This humor, and juicy characters, and mind-blowing edges of Northern India up to Ladakh.
But above all, it is a storehouse of valuable observations about what knowledge is and why a person should learn. And about how to learn correctly.
The opposition of the approaches of the “Muffler” and the Ranch is a red tape of the plot.
If you think about it, because the lion's share of students of the East and West study most often either "for the sake of the crust", - well, so that parents do not upset, like the heroes of the plot, - or choose the crank-resulting path of the "Muffler". This makes me very sad.
Isn’t that what the director of Virus called for? “Be the first at all costs!” Be successful or you will be trampled. And so, we are literally surrounded by the “Mufflers”, who will be terribly interested 10, 20 years after graduation to check who has achieved what, whether you have enough cars in the garage, and meters in the height of the ceilings of the mansion. Who is your boss and with whom your company signed the tender? No, these are all absolutely important things, but for these people, their whole lives are devoted to this, to achieving achivok, as a gamer would say. And the rest of the people form a scale of these achivokas. It is like a pyramid, where the upper level despises the lower ones as “losers”, and the lower ones look at the achievements of the upper ones as an annoying challenge that is about to be overcome.
Aren't people like Rancho surprising?
Not arguing about achievements and superiority, sincerely attentive to everything new everywhere and always, able to find comfort in any conditions. The truth in the mouth of the hero Amir Khan is this: "Improving! "
Dedicate yourself to what you love, and success will find you.
Is the truism not true? That’s just followed by literally a few. One in a million. And can it be a coincidence that they are usually described as geniuses in human history?
For the rest of us, every 999.000 people led by silencers are pathetic idiots.
Well, maybe. But sometimes “friendship does real miracles”, and thanks to faithful friendship instead of one “idiot” in this enchanting story there were three.
And that's great.
This is the first time that a representative of Bollywood has pleased me so much that I do not want to find fault or try to invent something. Rarely have I ever been disappointed by a movie. Here is the opposite case, absolutely life situations are superimposed light elements of fantastic Bollywood. My experience watching such films is immeasurably small, so I have nothing to compare. Therefore, I will share my impressions of acquaintance and thoughts on this matter, the blessing there is something to see.
The first thing I would like to say is an absolutely life story about the difficult study of three friends at the Royal Technical College. They met together by the will of fate and these three had to break the system. Throughout the film there are two storylines: one is a long and thorny path of students, one of whom shows the first signs of extraordinaryness and as the two main characters Farhan and Raja, along with a classmate named Silencer, look for their third friend Rancho ten years later. These two story branches are organically combined, and the entire script is perceived as several separate stories, quite independent and complete, but the writers were well able to link them and logically substantiate them. At the same time, a special thank you for the fact that the song pieces are inserted organically, without disturbing the pace of the narrative, without destroying the atmosphere that is being created, since there are both the realism of the message, the vitality of the main conflict between the characters and the environment with fabulousness and a little bit of naivety created by typical elements of Bollywood. In this regard, I will give the film a hard five.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani based on the novel Five Point Someone by Indian writer Chetan Bhagat. In the end, the script written by Hirani for the film, from the novel (or rather, from the novel in the stories) Bhagat is very different. ' Three Idiots' became the record holder among Indian films - it swept around the world incredibly successfully and grossed under $ 90 million, which is a fantastic figure. And even in the United States, the picture collected under $ 7 million, especially since almost no foreign films are watched behind the bump. And what is most surprising, when watching the film you do not perceive him as a pure-blooded Bollywood, and therefore I want to say thank you for the successful synthesis of two polar approaches to filmmaking.
Spectacularity in this film is, but again not in Hollywood concepts, it is created due to the very elements like fantastic choreography in musical numbers, fabulous naivety and oddly enough - excellent humor, which in this tragicomedy plays in different shades. There are jokes that just make you smile, there are laughter-inducing ones through the tears, but there is no doubt a red line running through the film. The operator knows how to handle the camera, snatching good angles, you can talk as much as you like about the manner and beauty of the shot, but it is impossible not to note that all this is easily shot, without tension, it feels that everyone has dissolved in this work and showed a good self-sufficient Indian cinema. According to this criterion, I will put a five, because for all three hours it was not boring, if we shot the same but with less timekeeping, it would only get worse, a sufficiently large layer of the lives of the main characters is taken as a basis and therefore without its detailed disclosure it would not turn out so well.
Acting. It is full of drama and difficult situations, Aamir Khan, a well-known Bollywood actor, played here magnificently, if only because he played a twenty-year-old boy at forty-four and did it so convincingly that when you look at his photos from other projects, you can not believe that he is. For the role, the actor lost a lot of weight, refused a birthday cake and shaved off his mustache and beard. There is a good eccentricity in his ranch, a mystery in his eyes and, despite being a student, he has a strong core inside. He puts the teachers in their place, remaining a fun guy, he does not put himself above others and it bribes. In the second half of the film a lot of tears, theatricality and excessive facial expressions, but I think it played only for the sake of the image. Friends Farhan, played by Madhavan, and Raji, played by Sharman Joshi, - looked quite decent, but according to the script they rather served for the main character & #39; balls & #39;, and against his background significantly lost. And of the two, Sharman Joshi looked clearly more profitable. Karina Kapoor in the role of Pia perfectly performed, showed the whole range of feelings of the heroine from dazzling from the impudence of Rancho to the outbreak of real love. The most memorable was the scene where Pia broke into the dorm with a bottle of whiskey, there was everything. Boman Irani as the headmaster of Virus College is great. The virus is very unusual. On the one hand, a funny old man with a very funny manner of speaking, but on the other hand, the old man is really evil and harmful, and these qualities in him were combined in very interesting proportions. A great character, the most memorable feature of the character was his lisp and in the voiceover translation made a great emphasis on this, which I think better revealed the character. The Buffonade Silencer performed by Omi Vayad also looked appropriate. I'm going to play five stars.
Verdictating. A great film from Bollywood, in which realism is combined with fabulous and excessive positivity. Many will be frightened by timekeeping, but three hours will fly by quickly and will not be boring. I want to say that I have not received such a strong portion of impressions in a long time. Attracts a life-affirming message, not a one-sided story that shows the adventures of three friends and is also a story about mutual help and revenue in difficult situations. The film attracts acting, directing, visual effects, but most importantly – a great script with a well-developed story. I'm maximizing the movie, but that's my impression of the movie. Check it out, share yours. Good to you all and enjoy watching!
. . . When Ranch was kicked out of the classroom for his free-thinking, he would just come to any other class, sit down and listen. Because knowledge can be obtained from anywhere, and not only learn from textbooks. . .
After "Stars on Earth", "Lagaan: Once in India", "Blind Love" and "Insurrection" is another wonderful film featuring Aamir Khan. And here is the paradox, I am not a fan of Aamir, and before I began to watch films with his participation very reluctantly, but every role, every film Aamir conquers me more and more. There’s something about him that sets him apart from other actors, a zest that, for all his sleazy looks, easily wins people’s hearts.
The epithet "masterpiece" to this film is not very suitable, because it evokes some pathosity, which is not a drop here. This is a film with a bare, unprotected heart, from which a lively love pulsates despite the mechanistic, programmed and template of most people of this deadlocked world. Very instructive, funny and interesting film! Everything is there: love, friendship, poverty, wealth, student life, philosophy, genius, funny and funny moments. Drama is also present. Just a brilliant film! Honestly, I didn’t expect so many positive emotions from this film, but I got a whole carriage of them! This is a wonderful, bright film about real friendship, choosing a life path, and what can I say – this film is about almost everything! From love to tragedy, from university to adulthood, from humor to real sadness. Three hours passed unnoticed. I watched the film, but it feels like the whole life of three idiot students, such real, sincere, people who have found themselves and their place in life and love, played out in front of me. The plot is flavored with quite adequate jokes, diluted with romance and enviable friendship of young people. A low bow to the director, I will never forget this wonderful story and its heroes.
That's what made you feel a little squirming, it was "toilet humor," greeting with your pants down, and giving birth. And I didn't understand a little bit why the sister of Pia, being married and pregnant, lives in her father's house. Where is her husband? It was like American cinema, not typical of India. Karina Kapoor did not look paired with Aamir. She is taller than him and looks older, and he is small, nimble and looks like a 20-23-year-old student (although I read that he was 44 at the time of filming). The difference between them is very clear. There are no complaints, everything is perfectly executed.
This film is not based on a love story. Of course, there is love in the film, but it has faded into the background. The main idea of the film is a very specific view of higher education in India. Indeed, now many educational institutions adhere to the fact that their students had good grades, and about knowledge all forgotten. What matters is knowing and understanding what you know, not evaluating. The rating of these institutions should depend on this. What struck me most was the episode about how to teach. Here Ranch was always right. The plot is satirical and humorous.
Now the heroes. These are three bosom friends who go to engineering college together. Everyone has their own ideas about happiness, about studying and about their dream job. Although their views differ in many ways, their friendship continues for years after college. There are moments in the movie where you can laugh and cry. The acting was great. The headmaster of the college was irresistible, his highlight was the speech. It is very cool that voiced his image exactly that. Boman Irani chic in the role of a slightly dorky professor of the college, which studied Ranch with friends and their eternal confrontation with the professor, was very great.
The two friends were also good in their roles. I don’t know if I’ve seen these actors anywhere else. Although the actor who played Farhan , exactly somewhere I saw, but I do not remember where. But most of all I was struck by Ranch. Aamir played so cool that I can not convey it in simple words. Watching them all was a great pleasure and an incredible high. I got a lot of emotions that I will never forget.
The music was incredible, I enjoyed it, it captivated me. Very touching and piercing. Without gratitude to the director of the film, Rajkumar Hirani, too, can not do. I was very impressed by the film with its philosophy and morality.
The film, despite some difficult moments, is very kind, charges incredible strength with positive energy, such that after watching, a happy smile does not come off the face for a long time. It has many funny moments, many instructive, introduced, I would say, just as a parable, many philosophical. After viewing, several conclusions arise at once, seemingly so well-known, but so obviously wise, that I want to say - Thank you for reminding me. And after watching, I realized that nothing happens in our lives. And since I saw this movie right now, I should have seen it right now to understand something. And I realized just the same, the fact that I give up early and received higher education, even if not by profession - this is not the end of the world. You can always change something in your life and direct it in the right direction. If there is a desire, there will be opportunities. Now I'm ooh, I get that. I hope you find your way and move on to your dream!
A great film, against the background of degraded Hollywood, such an Indian movie I want to watch and recommend.
In the case of the film “Three Idiots” directed by Rajkumar Hirani, I can say that I committed an unforgivable stupidity by writing the most detailed review, only eight hundred and seventy-six words, and published it in the pages of Kinonews instead of keeping it in the cage. If you restore it completely, you will strike for plagiarizing yourself. Therefore, you will have to pervert as with the “Invisible side” to give a torn hack.
It is worth saying that this is one of those rare films that pleased me without discounts, especially since I got the same pleasure from the Bollywood film industry product as from any good European comedy like 1+1. Here, the exaggerated fantasy of Bollywood is superimposed on an absolutely life story, and when realism is mixed with cliches of Indian cinema, such as mandatory songs and dances, it usually causes facepalm. Here all this is played out surprisingly dosed and is not an end in itself. But now to our criteria. The plot tells us about three friends who are studying at the Royal Technical College. Together they were brought together by fate itself and they have no less to “break the system”. I found two layers of meaning in this film. This is the student years of three friends, one of whom shows the first signs of genius and as the two main characters Farhan and Raja, along with a classmate named Silencer, look for their third friend Rancho ten years later. “These two story lines are organically combined, and the entire script is perceived as several separate stories, quite independent and complete, but the writers were well able to link them and logically substantiate them.” In the scenario context, I liked it. Five stars.
Spectacularity in Bollywood films is not created according to Hollywood principles, but precisely due to the fact that in typical Bollywood inserts excellent choreography in song numbers, fabulous naivety and excellent humor, which was at odds with my stamped ideas about a typical Indian film. This film can be called “tragicomedy”, because the comedy part is combined with the tragedy in the right proportions. At one time, the question was “could it not be possible to make a less stretched film?” I came to the conclusion that if the film did not cover a sufficiently detailed layer of the lives of the main characters, if they decided to save money on it, it would turn out much worse. The operator knows how to work with the camera, as evidenced by interesting plans, angles and manner of shooting in general.
Acting game is a separate article of income, because the actor then plays well when this game is not visible, you can invest in the image any relation to him, but if you are a master of your craft, the viewer should not feel that you are playing. Aamir Khan is quite famous in Bollywood, and therefore he is here in the first roles. It is worth saying that it is difficult to play a twenty-year-old student at forty-four years old, to prepare for the role, he dramatically lost weight, shaved his mustache and beard, and even refused a holiday cake on his birthday. It is worth saying that everything was not in vain and he lived in this image convincingly. In the second half of the film, each of the actors manifests an abundance of tears, excessive facial expressions and theatricality, but this is only for the benefit of the images. Karina Kapoor in the role of Pia is good, showed the whole range of emotions: from hatred to love. Boman Irani in the role of Virus is magnificent, his image combined the fun and malice of the old man, as he became a participant in many situational jokes. Friends Farhan, played by Madhavan, and Raji, played by Sharman Joshi, perfectly act as second violins, their images are clear and spelled out, but they are rather intended to enhance the contrast between them and Ranchodas. And of course, my estimate is five stars.
Verdictating. A great Bollywood story, which is not dominated by typical signs of Indian cinema. This film is shot in a new way and it is close and understandable to the viewer both in the plot and in the message that it carries in itself - mutual help and revenue in difficult situations, you can talk as much as you like about a good visual, excellent acting, correct directing, but it was history that bribed me personally. I suggest you familiarize yourself. I really liked it, I’ll give the film the maximum score and recommend it. Good to you all!
I would call this film a diamond of Indian cinema, even though Bollywood is almost absent. Hollywood production with Indian flavor.
The film tells simple life stories and heroic exploits of ordinary people who must overcome the obstacles that arise. Enthusiasm, right thoughts and right actions are very inspiring and sometimes even make you think deeply.
Heroes live so many story stories that the film keeps in suspense all 3 hours of viewing. In the film it would seem - now everything is decided and now there should be an end, but no - the situation takes a completely different turn.
The abundance of humor, albeit sometimes primitive, is what is characteristic of all Indian films, but it even adorns the picture.
In general, the film really deserves the highest praise.
This is a kind, easy, interesting, exciting, instructive, relevant comedy film that teaches the right attitude to study, choice of profession, assessments, teaches the ability to use the knowledge gained, teaches friends, teaches you to follow your dream and many other simple but important truths. All this is presented easily and with humor, without losing its importance. The movie looks in one breath.
A wonderful script, a wonderful director, wonderful actors, wonderful music.
At the beginning of the film, you may want to turn off the film. But everything will change in the 15th minute, when one of the main characters of the film will appear - Ranch. It is performed by Aamir Khan, who is rightly called “Mr. Perfectionist”. If the film credits Aamir Khan, you can be sure that the film with his participation is either good or very good (this is the case with the films in which he starred from 2001 to the present). Aamir Khan is a sign of quality, a guarantor of an interesting film. And the tandem of two geniuses and extraordinary - actor Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani - gave the world two masterpieces - the films "Three Idiots" and "PK".
Don’t worry that the film is Indian. This is a film for anyone who loves a good movie.

Take your hand. Hold her to the Heart... And say, "It's okay!"
This wonderful picture will be pleasant and useful for any age. The film is kind and bright, filled with wonderful examples of how to approach Life, it will definitely teach the ignorant, tell the doubter and give a pleasant pastime to the bored or fallen.
As befits a masterpiece that has such genres as “comedy, melodrama, adventure”, it can make you smile, and in a moment it will cause tears in your eyes, and in a moment it will give you a reason to laugh and these feelings will play, shimmering with flowers, which skillfully filled the film.
Many may decide to pass it, say Indian cinema, and even 3 hours of duration. I assure you, if you feel the slightest desire to see this work, time will fly by unnoticed, and in the end there may be only a slight sadness that the film is over, and there are few films that cause such feelings. Don’t miss the chance to be happy.
Good viewing, kindness, warmth and Everything will be fine! 10 out of 10
How in time I came across this wonderful film, a time of autumn khanda and long thinking about life.
The title "Three Idiots" (well, does not attract attention), the Indian comedy - already sounds suspicious, without skepticism did not do, as soon as the film began, we were swept by some biased, mocking mood. But! with every passing minute, the film was captivating with its lightness, and funny backstory. What can be more interesting than student life, mentally plunge into the past, which was just as fun and just as difficult. The story of a guy named Rancho extraordinary, kind and witty, you watch and kind of dreamed always to meet such a miracle - a person. The ranch helped his friends find themselves, determine their life path, cope with complexes and fears, cowardice, he made people better, isn’t it a miracle? I would say that is fabulous in his actions.
It’s utopian, idealized, dreamy, but it’s beautiful because it helps us remember what we really want, what we can be, and what’s really valuable in our lives. The viewer should be pleased with unobtrusive humor, however, was not without primitiveness, where without it in modern comedies, it was necessary to please a greater range of caretakers. Oh! tears ... tears are fleeting but so bitter, there was a place for them in this story. The final part of the film pleased, such an unpredictable, unanticipated ending, fueled by childishness, childishness and a summer inviting landscape.
The topic of the education system is well discussed, in point!! You will live four years as a rote learner, but for the next forty you will rape yourself.
Spend 3 hours on a good movie!!
I love Indian cinema, which is not half song and dance about and without. I am lucky that in recent years, more and more such works have begun to appear on this peninsula, trying, in some ways, to focus on Western films, but without losing the national flavor that once attracted the domestic audience to Indian cinema.
One of these films for me was “Three Idiots”, to some extent, a clear languor under the American youth comedies of the early 2000s, but it came out incredibly soulful, kind and uplifting, which is so lacking in many representatives of this genre. All the components of a good movie are in place: superbly played characters, each of whom has a pronounced personality, which only enhances the chemistry of the relationships of three idiots; high-quality humor, not outweighing with vulgarity; an excellent production, where the intimacy of what is happening in the walls of the college is diluted with grandiose Indian landscapes. At first glance, the plot may seem rather uncomplicated, but each of its components is imbued with a deep morality.
Separately, it is worth noting the level of self-irony expressed in friendly poking fun at the clichés of classical Indian cinema, but not in their rude ridicule.
But what made me sincerely love this film, is the thoughts about the problems of modern education, which it conveys.
It was very useful to look at it in student years, so as not to forget that you study not for the sake of grades or a diploma, but for the sake of knowledge, that no matter how you are loaded with studying, you should enjoy the process of obtaining education and then take the path that will bring you happiness, not only money.
Thank you to The Three Idiots, reminding people of simple truths.

Are you serious? What's the rating 8? After watching this movie, I have so much discontent and negativity in my head. Guys, I'm talking to those who say this movie is "big," what do you think it is? Well, let’s start in order.
The plot: here it is so disgusting, stereotyped, but at first it can not be said. At first glance, I had a thought in my mind that it seemed to be a more less smoothed, albeit banal story, which did not cut my eyes, but it all began after half 1 ... It turns out that the writers decided to surprise us a little, stuffed surprises into the plot in which there was no logic at all, it is not surprising for India that they added nasty songs that do not belong to the essence of the story. In the end, they stuffed so many delusional episodes that blood could already flow from the eyes. Yes, and the ending itself seems to be good, but after disgusting episodes, the heroes did not even want to smile. In general, delirium
Humor - I don't know why many people rate it positively, you guys really mix up kindergarten jokes, ridiculous episodes that cause laughter only babies. Humor in this film does not smell at all, only the carriage of drama was shoved on it, that even she eventually became disgusted and the heroes did not want to empathize at all.
The dialogues were really worked out and were interesting and intriguing, but again after half 1 all interest was gone. Not really...
This film will appeal only to those who love Indian cinema, not even those who love Indian cinema. Because everything I've seen here is in every Indian movie. I wouldn’t recommend watching the movie because it’s a slag. Watch “Bachelor party in Vegas” there really is humor.

In the beginning, there was no enthusiasm. Indian cinema, almost 3 hours — not very pleasant for me prospect. I prayed only that there was a minimum of dance, a maximum of meaning.
It began intriguingly, but immediately pushed off the removed pants. I think, “Oh, if it’s going to go, it’s definitely not for me.”
But it didn't. It was really funny, and also wise, truthful and just amazing! The hero of Aamira Khan is one of the few people on our planet who can completely change the world. They are not of this world, they are not accepted by ordinary society, because they go far beyond it.
What did Rancho teach? How did he change the lives of his friends? He taught to learn not for the sake of grades, but for the sake of knowledge, to constantly improve and be sure to become what your heart tells you, and then success, money will come by itself. To be happy, you need to love what you do, not become happy in another way. I have already come to this, but I am sorry that in my life there was no such Ranch, and I had to get to this seemingly simple truth itself.
I can imagine why Indians make movies like this. The fact is that in their lives it is still very difficult to go against the foundations of society, formed over centuries. They marry who their parents will tell them, they study where their parents will tell them, so the question is: “What do I want?” What does my heart tell me?
The film is very soulful. Very. Many of the moments surrounding the friendship of Rancho’s three friends, Farhan and Raju, director Virus and girlfriend Pia, are funny, but no less than those where I couldn’t stop the tears. Of course, it’s a little unusual to see men cry, and the men in this movie cry a lot, but the tears, oddly enough, didn’t look like a weakness. I cried with them at every moment. Hindus are good at breaking tears, and I don’t get into tearful love movies anymore, but in this case it was justified because it was about something that really deserves to be seriously thought about – life choices. Choosing your favorite thing, choosing to be yourself in a faceless crowd.
By the way, Aamir Khan is such a handsome man! Of course, I assumed that he was not 20 like his character Rancho, but when I found out that the actor was 42 at the time of filming, I sat with my mouth open for a long time. That's how everyone looks at his age and students play!
To anyone and everyone who has not yet made a choice, I recommend it. Why, in fact, only those who did not... I recommend it to those who have done it, because it is never too late to change everything.
Movies with a deep search for meaning are not always good. I did not think that you can be so happy for the heroes of the film, empathize with them and be with them on the same wavelength. To be happy that friends exist, love exists, and then there are geniuses like Rancho who see inside out and want to make the world a better place. That is, watch a movie, have fun, have a pleasant aftertaste of happiness. There are bright moments in the world. Positive. Of course, it was not without dancing. It won't be Indian cinema then. Musical pauses add smiles. In addition, the movements are masterfully performed by the main characters. How modern!
To begin with, I will present a few quotes that I liked during the review.
"Everybody's sure it's suicide, sir!" As written in the autopsy report: choking as a result of intense pressure on the airways. Everyone believed he died of pressure on his throat. What about head pressure four years in a row? How about this? It's not in the report! Engineers short-sighted people, sir, could not invent a device for measuring pressure on consciousness, but if they did, we would know exactly the cause of death!
“Here, as a rote student, you will live four years, but the next forty you will rape yourself.”
“Now take one minute of your life to think.” When I asked this question, did anyone think we were learning something new today? Anybody? You, sir? Nobody. You made a contest. What good is it for you to find it first? Will you improve your knowledge? No, just load up your brain. It's a college, not a pressure cooker. The lion is also taught in the circus to jump from chair to chair with the whip of a trainer. But the lion is only trained, he is not educated.
There are films that fully show how the human system works. This is exactly the kind of movie.
From the first minute I was convinced of the truth of the picture. Study, career growth, family, duty to parents - this is all in the life of every person. But do your desires really align with those of your family? Are you living your life? Such questions are raised by the film "Three Idiots".
These questions are urgent, the answers to them were sought at least once every person around the world.
I want to cry with happiness, when the characters make a choice in favor of their dreams, and not in favor of cramming.
The whole education system is ironic. Ironically, but truthfully, learning for the sake of “excellent,” not for the sake of knowledge.
It is sad that in real life, as a rule, people are weak before the system and cannot be so brave in spirit.
As for the picture itself, or rather its performance, it is worth noting the wonderful songs and dances, the play of actors, the colorfulness of the picture. The most important thing about this film is sincerity. Yes, with a capital letter.
Life is amazing: there is a place for grief, joy, the death of one person and the birth of another. But this is life in all its manifestations.
The average value of tears per minute tends from zero to one?
Is there a need for music to zero?
Birth with a vacuum cleaner and the resurrection of the dead with words?
Apart from the above, it seems that all this we have seen and all this was somewhere else, in other films, but not for a second does not get boring, the film is long, but full, lively and pleasant to watch. If there are some logical disadvantages, simple miscalculations in shooting, then you will not even remember it, the film will give good emotions and this is the main thing.
A great choice for a family or one.
It is this advice that Indian Bollywood should follow when shooting domestic cinema. And I make this statement because Bollywood still lacks something; the movie still turns out in a childish, overplayed and comical way, but it is not the prepared jokes in the script that are funny here, but those slightly silly-looking from the outside and completely ill-conceived situations. The theaters that came to our mind in elementary school come straight to mind. The plots of such productions were banal: the villain-loser, the girl, being initially in “bad hands”, and then moving into “good”, and the unchangeable and as always naively good main character.
The film “Three Idiots” shows us exactly the same situation in Bollywood, as well as the same situation that is shown to children in children’s theaters. But if you put aside some of the shortcomings of Indian cinema, close your eyes to the quality of the film itself, that is, the “overplayability” of Indian actors, as well as the naive kindness and almost impossible conditions in reality, and focus only on its design and storyline, it turns out that Hindus are able to make a good and good movie.
The film "Three Idiots" tells us in a slightly ironic form always arising problems, difficulties about choosing a profession and calling in this world. Of course, this case is very capacious and difficult, and this, probably the most important moment of life, should be accompanied by talent, personal tastes and preferences, but in no way, deriving from the morality of this film, not opinions from outside. As far as the film interpreted its idea, boys and girls at the crossroads of life should always treat this matter very responsibly, so as not to have dire consequences in the future - in the process of studying and, in fact, in their careers. The director of this film, Rajkumar Hirani, thoroughly chewed this truth and spit it out directly on the viewer’s face, forcing him to scrape it off and think a little: for some younger viewers about the near future, well, for those who are older, about their past.
Will you make that fateful, serious and obligatory choice in your favor; will you bend the whole world under you, having endured all the losses and criticism, having survived all the risks and costs and throwing away all the trump cards, finally do what you wanted? Or is it easier to leave the battlefield without weapons? Will you find the path that will make you a person, and most importantly, happy?
You know, before I started watching, I didn’t expect the movie to evoke so much emotion! This is probably one of the best films I’ve seen. This film is the quintessence of the word “life” in the very sense that no person on Earth should forget. It is a flight of imagination and mind, freedom, friendship, love, open to all new heart.
I just fall in love with films that leave a warmth in the soul: that is what this masterpiece of Indian cinema is. The main idea of the film is painfully relevant now, when every second student for 20 years dreams of becoming rich and successful. At the same time, chasing for grades, approval of parents and the surrounding society, trying to become better than others, the best among those around. I think you just need to improve, learn first what’s interesting, and try for yourself to make your life interesting, not live it the way others want. As a wise man once said, “He who never takes risks takes the greatest risks.” The ranch was able to help his friends and by his example has repeatedly proved that only when a person does what he likes, and remains himself, he can become happy!
Playing actors, of course, at the highest level. It’s hard to make a comedy so compelling and meaningful. Of course, the headmaster of the university looks simply absurd, but it is worth making a discount on the fact that it is a comedy. In some places, the film is so touching that it is difficult to hold back tears. The director seemed to unravel some secret of life and was able to freely touch the soul of each viewer, filling the heart with goodness, happiness and the desire to live!
Thank you for these 3 hours of life!
