Society is alive only when a woman is respected by her! The film is so powerful and shrill that there are no words. I've been watching it for two days, but I'm just now awake. I can only write now. I hope it turns out something digestible. Very good production and a great cast. The main characters show without embellishment, such as people should be in a difficult life situation. From beginning to end, I felt sympathy for the heroine, and the ending was happy. In any case, I recommend watching, I am sure you will like it.
Attitude towards women originates in national traditions, and then continues or changes depending on upbringing. Very often it is humiliating, requiring unquestioning submission and only a few are able to defend themselves by committing incredible deeds and declaring the right to vote.
Raghu is a rich man who lives only for pleasure. For him, family is not a measure of values and days spent in fun bring pleasure. So that he could completely relax, freed from his pregnant wife, sending her to India, thereby getting rid of moral teachings. But fate presents a cruel lesson: a car, getting into an accident, injures a heartless reveler and punishes with infertility. Realizing the emptiness in the near future, the husband tries to find and return his wife.
Vaidehi - an intelligent girl, well versed in art. Her marriage was not what she imagined. Her husband doesn't pay attention to her. Besides, the father-in-law adds fuel to the fire, turning his son against his wife. And so she goes to India. Alone, trying to find himself and escape from loneliness. Along the way, meeting many ordinary residents, before her eyes, as in a kaleidoscope, flash unfair situations in which ordinary people find themselves.
An instructive story about love, envy, vanity and mistakes that everyone makes one way or another, without immediately thinking about the consequences. What's important about a happy marriage? Someone will say that it is unconditional loyalty, someone believes that it is the ability to forgive and support, no matter what. The heroes of this story made so many mistakes that it is not so easy to understand which one became fatal.
The film is amazing (like the other Rajkumar Santoshi films I saw), moved to tears. Women really suffer a lot, and not only in India, but also in other countries, most men do not appreciate women, I want to believe that there will always be such a hero who protects.
All actors are suitable for their roles, especially the main characters. Vaidehi (meaning Manisha) is very beautiful, intelligent, kind. He loves his husband, honors the traditions of his country, and suffers from inattention and loneliness.
Jackie Shroff, who played the role of her husband, is also brilliant. No wonder he was chosen for the main role. There is something in him that only he can perform and show in such difficult and even tragic roles. At first, all so cool, chasing his wife the whole movie, like, bring home. And then it just changes in front of my eyes when I heard my wife speak on stage about women and their difficult fate. He immediately came to him, and immediately became such a loving husband.
The character Madhuri, the actress Janky, is simply incomparable. Crying over her story. How much she had to endure.
Mahima (Maithili) is generally irresistible here, so sensual, just no words. The way she pointed that jackass and his dad at the door, brilliantly. I admired her at the time. So I wanted to stand next to her and support her speech.
And of course, the great Rekha. I always admire her. An actress from God and a woman of rare beauty. God, her story was more shocking than anyone else. So much so that even tears could not flow from his eyes, just a silent cry stuck in his throat and could not escape. Her character Ramdulari has done so much good to people, but everyone has seen the good from her. And why would she? Why was she treated like this? And none of those whom she helped in life, no one helped her, no one came out to her cry for help. Everyone was sitting in their houses, afraid to stick their nose out. Parasites are lousy (as my grandmother says). Grown-up, strong, healthy men hid behind the skirts of their wives, closed all the windows and doors and sat in their rooms. Or they could gather together, come out in a crowd, with sticks and stones, and crucify these creatures so that they would not enjoy life, for all their atrocities. And then they call themselves men, and they take out the evil on their own wives, behind whom they hid only a few minutes ago. Ugh, easy. It's disgusting to look at these slugs.
I also liked the main male characters. The story of Raju, the character of Anil Kapoor, was very touching. Tears simply cannot be held back. Oh, how incredibly good he is here, just amazing. So much nobility, so much kindness. It was as good as ever.
And of course Ajay (actually, according to his filmography, I started watching this film). I was amazed as always. Wow, he's amazing here, just no words. Local Robin Hood simple. His character Bulva has experienced so much grief in life that you do not wish on the enemy. I just couldn't look at [b] Ajay [b]. It's just irresistible here.
This story clearly shows that from hate to love is only one small step. From love to hate.
And it is true to say at the beginning of the film whose characters are not fictional. These are echoes of what is happening around us, in our so-called civilized society. This film only intensified the cries of people, their groans, pleas and whispers to be heard by the deaf. After all, the state of society can be assessed only by the position that a woman occupies in it!
