Shojo. For girls, then. I had already started watching it once, almost half overpowered and abandoned it. The main character was annoyed. Then I decided to look to the end.
“In the distant times” is another version of the journey of a schoolgirl (Akane) in a fantastic country of a parallel world. In this case, she is dragged away by the mysterious demon Akram, but does not forget to capture two of her friends Simon and Tenma. The plot is simple - the villain Akram wants to take possession of the priestess and become the ruler of this world. The priestess and her eight guarding beauties must confront the forces of the demon. The demon, either himself or with his assistants, is trying in every way to steal the priestess, who, like a passing red banner, is on one side, then on the other. However, not everything is smooth with the demon - his face cannot be seen, he wears a mask, and during one of the fights the mask cracked and showed a beautiful face and sad-sad eyes. So the priestess also penetrated, and strongly.
It looks like Escaflon, Mysterious Game and 12 Kingdoms at the same time. Here you and political intrigue, and love omissions. In general, the girl wanted to kill immediately and forever, she is template to the point of impossibility: stupid, falls into all enemy traps, brains not a drop, constantly worries about her own and others, very, very kind, physically weak, but then moment X comes and her beast is no worse. It was after the first view, and the second time it all went down. Apparently, any thing should lie down, wait for the right occasion, mood. The girl seemed nice and kind, does not scream, does not cry, there is nothing hysterical in her. It is easy and easy to do your magic.
But! The beauty of this anime in male characters is one more beautiful than the other. That's where the animators went! For every taste and color. What I like most is the ambassador of the viceroy Tachibana Tonomasu with dark turquoise hair, a light kimono with pink flowers, a red fan behind which he often hides a grin, and the voice of Inoe Kazuhiko. And the way he talks...
In fact, the disease of all shōjo anime is present here - one girl with a crowd of admirers, and they must all fall in love with her. If small age heroes still somehow look normal with their teenage passion, then hearing sighs from adult characters is strangely impossible. Thank goodness it doesn’t pedal, it just goes away. Very charismatic there is the main demon Akram and, as the final showed, a very ambiguous figure, his “right hand” one-eyed demon Ichtidar (almost Ichthyander) is a real man, and a small mountain tengu. He's small because he's been stripped of all his power, so he likes to get in trouble. And finally, there's amazing music in this anime -- a lot of piano and almost classical sounds. I really liked it. Good anime.
