A black comedy set against a pile of corpses and a severed penis in a small provincial town, starting with the fall of a corpse from a bridge on the windshield of a car passing under a bridge. The event canvas is one, but is shown from the point of view of different actors and parties, each of which is disgusting in its own way. But it's funny in its own way.
A typical American reflex: found a corpse - hide it in the trunk. . But seriously, the plot and drama are at the highest level, and this is the best example of how each element of the plot can be tied to others. In a small town at 11:14 a.m. there were 2 accidents at once, in both cases the result was a corpse, and everything tells that it was NOT an accident. A brilliant script, a fascinating play of actors. I saw a couple of other films with the same plotting technique, but they did not use their full potential, and then just an explosion of impressions. It’s nice to see how much karma is doing.
One film critic once said that plagiarism differs from quoting: “citation is theft in a smart way, and plagiarism is theft in a stupid way.” Most imitators Tarantino, Coen, Guy Ritchie steal in a stupid way, because in their blind imitation of certain elements of the external form there is no rethinking of the content and presenting it in a different context. Tarantino quotes through and through and never hid it. But his difference from imitators lies precisely in his inner reflection and rethinking of what he saw: from Hong Kong militants to the French New Wave. It is this circumstance that makes him a demiurge of the postmodern stage of the development of world art (and applied philosophy), where the cornerstone is the rethinking of traditions, dogmas and foundations.
There is nothing like that in this movie.
In fact, Marx's work gravitates more toward Richie's than Tarantino's. But the former reinterpreted the latter’s legacy, weaving it into a national (typically English) context. It turned out a kind of Sherlock Holmes in bridges. With all the comic image, it looked very good, because it was visible and obvious inner work of the author, in whose head this magical melting pot for the production of new meanings from the already passed. What can not be said about Greg Marx, whose picture looks almost the same, but even for 2003, this style in his performance gives the impression of a movie that has outgrown its short pants. In this film, there is no rethinking and no definite context in which to weave it. It's just a set of related stories happening at the same time -- 11:14, to be exact. What meaning and novelty can be seen in this ordinary dry statement of the existence of time? Well, yeah, everything happens at the same time...well, cool. So what?
The author did not even bother to change the plot blocks, as Tarantino did, “resurrection” at the end of “Pulp Fiction” by Vincent Vega and thus appearing, in a kind of God, free to do whatever he wants, because he took power over time. All of Tarantino’s work is a struggle against time. In the film "11:14" this struggle is not observed. The maximum that is there is observation of time, but not mastering it. Therefore, this work, despite the brightness of its form, is mediocre.
The comedy component of the film, frankly, for an amateur - it would be much better without it, closer to serious drama. But maybe there is a microscopic element to this comedy? Considering the legacy of Guy Ritchie, who proposed this in the late 1990s, one should rather answer in the negative – even here there is no novelty. And by the level of idiocy, it seems that 11-14 is the total IQ of all the characters in this film.
In general, the time to watch is not wasted. Although there is no particular reason to watch or recommend this film, but if it happens, you will not be bored! The wrapper of the film is bright and it does its job.
The movie is interesting and not ordinary, later exactly the same presentation of the film was used in the film “Vantage Point” (Vantage Point) in 2008, and others, most incredible here, how could so many clinical idiots live in the same small town and meet together at the same time? The film is made with black humor, so you definitely did not have to be bored when watching. . . 10 out of 10. P.S. I don't really know how it all ended, and did they sew a dick in one of the jerks' shoes?
Do not go to the cemetery to “play” or no one will leave from paying for their actions!
11.14 strong crime thriller with elements of black humor. The film from the beginning sets a fast pace of action and keeps this pace until the final credits.
It shows only 1 hour (well, maybe a little more) of the lives of some residents of the American town of Middleton. But during that hour, a series of ridiculous, irreversible and even horrific events took place.
The main advantage of this film is its narrative. Nonlinear narrative attracts a seemingly banal plot. By the end of the film is going to be an interesting puzzle of the whole story.
The acting here is quite decent. I loved the final soundtrack. Director Greg Marks savored the moment. The viewer knows what will happen and is ready for this and for a greater effect, Marx slows down the final scene, allowing the viewer to once again pay attention to the events that occurred in this short period of time.

General impression: It’s amazing how the characters in the movie are connected. And often one GG appears in the picture, here all the characters are unusually important. Viewers watch the story, winding like poison ivy, it is tied from hero to hero. The time 11:14 is to blame for what happened in a particular period and why these numbers became the point of reference. No mystery, just a good thriller with elements of a detective. Thought... If you look at the tape, then you can correlate a mystical note, because everything happens in an instant!
The timing of the picture is small, but during this time (1.26) the film skillfully waltzes from episode to episode, telling and dragging into its narrative. Here absolutely every character carries its significance and the relationship is revealed from minute to minute. Each has its own secrets and the closer the final is more interesting, well, a very dynamic tape.
The film is currently 16 years old, but despite the age (and during this time a sufficient number of films were released), the thriller looks original, and most importantly fascinating. Really timid tension, which increases literally from the first minute, plunges into this small town - Middleton, where looking at what is happening you are surprised by a series of events.
By the way, about the cast – Hilary Swank, Patrick Swayze, Rachel Lee Cook, Jason Siegel, Ben Foster – good actors gathered, and each harmonious in his role. And besides the thriller part, there is a light black comedy. You can smile.
I recommend a thriller, pleasantly surprise you with its non-trivial plot, where the villainous fate pushed several people together.

I started to watch this movie, confident that it belongs to the horror genre. A few minutes later I realized that it was also a black comedy, and I was very happy about it.
The film shows several storylines, the characters of which are somehow related. At 11:14 a.m., their fate somehow overlaps, but that's not really the case. To collect the overall picture of what happened, you will have to watch the film to the end, only then everything is finally laid out on shelves.
Characters are hard to empathize with, because each of them did what they ultimately deserve. Despite this, until the very end, I empathized with the character described in the episode with the store.
The actors are fine. You really believe them and associate them with the characters they play.
Humor in the movie is an amateur, but that's what I am. In some places I laughed in my voice, sometimes I did not understand what was happening at all, but in any case the film did not leave me indifferent and caused a whole palette of emotions, especially at the very end.
I would advise anyone who likes black humor, has a good psyche and intricate plots.
Looking through the list of films for viewing, I dug up a wonderful thing called 11:14.
The action takes place in the provincial American town of Middleton. The whole narrative fits chronologically in a very short period of time, from strength - half an hour. But during this time, a large number of events occur involving several characters. And, as the name suggests, the key moment in their intertwined destinies is 11:14.
The film looks easy and interesting. There is no heavy drama, hidden meaning or great morality. Although some morality is still present, but is served not in a edifying form, but in the form of a black crime comedy under a simple, but very cool soundtrack. Heroes, though not cause much sympathy, but are in their places, and the actors cope with the roles perfectly. Well, the film was not shot by Nolans with tarantines (yes, in similar there are “Memento” and “Pulp Fiction”).
I like movies where events are viewed from different points of view, overgrown with new details and revealing the plot, for which the writers are especially grateful. All the guns hanging on the walls by the end of the film will shoot and the whole puzzle of events will be formed into a picture filled with Americanness by 146%.
There's a moment of interest. And since every detail affects everything, it can be critical. You have to decide for yourself.
Making a decent black comedy isn’t easy. The most difficult thing is not to slide into plowland with toilet humor. To shoot a strong detective with elements of black comedy is even more difficult. You have to be at least Tarantino, and at most, too. But Tarantino is one, and the genre needs to evolve. Therefore, "for lack of stamp writing on a simple."
Completely avoid vulgarity, the creators of the film “11:14” failed – some not quite high-quality humor is still present, but it can be forgiven, since the idea itself is very cute.
The action in the picture develops in a circle, more precisely, in repeated circles - each round of the story occurs a little earlier than the previous one, and is told on behalf of various actors. Various segments of one continuous action are intertwined in one time point - 11:14 minutes. This is when a terrible traffic accident occurs. And we see history spinning like a tangle to the beginning, but with layers and intersections. The idea itself is not new - to recall at least the terrible "Irreversibility" of Gaspar Noe, but there the action is linear, and here - like lumps of ice creeping on each other.
Plus, the atmosphere of a provincial town is quite reliably conveyed, where entertainment is to drive a car and tease passers-by. And the characters match. Three fools - teenagers who do not know where to go from boredom, the local queen of the school ball and her father, who does not cope with her puberty daughter, a provincial policeman. Ordinary "little people" with their little problems. And here is a series of murders, and more...
In general, it is quite cute, albeit one-time. The idea is definitely a big plus.
The main feature of the picture is a non-linear plot, deeply thought out, although quite simple. The incident at the beginning of the film, as it turned out, was the end of the recent hot events that preceded it. According to the established good practice, many films with intricate plots, consisting of pieces gradually folding into a whole picture, are mounted about this way.
Excellent shooting, although the whole picture is overwhelmingly in the dark tones of the unfortunate night. Excellent sound and musical accompaniment.
Explanatory acting for this rather cynical comedy, which, however, did not require a deep study of the characters. The few dialogues were quite suitable for the low intellect of the film participants, but it was especially pleased that there was no deliberate clowning. Not to say that Patrick Swayze at least something different for the better from the others, but in itself his participation in the film gave him an additional “weight”.
If we talk about comedy, then most often in similar films, a humorous note is played by the dense stupidity of the characters of the picture: someone does something wrong, because of which one problem after another shakes, growing into an avalanche. In this film, hardly anyone’s behavior can be called stupid, the actions of all the characters are quite meaningful, justified and logical, based on the roles they got. (Of course, except for the right of every human being, it is quite innocent to “mock”: here, for example, playing with a revolver and teenage antics in a car, which in themselves only accidentally became small links in the chain of one big problem.) Therefore, the humor here was in the plot itself, not in the fact that someone played the role of a notorious clown. This is an absolute plus.
Black humor was beautiful, neither take away nor add.
Conclusion. As a black comedy, the film succeeded in the hard five. Although not sparkling - the point is not in this, but fans of the genre are required to view.
Everything in the world is interconnected, that’s how the rain connects with each other all over the world, in turn touching everyone. (c)
This epigraph can mark the whole concept of the film, there are about ten people on stage, and the rest of the city is empty, and who needs them with such a plot? The film is definitely worth the time spent. Although in principle, I am not one of those who likes such an expression and instead of watching a movie, I am engaged in nose picking with an intellectual expression. This is the perfect movie for those who love to get answers. One story, which is considered from different sides, and at the end of the classics of the genre, everyone has something in common. Undoubtedly, I already knew it at the twentieth minute, but interest in the picture did not disappear. My interest in the film was often associated with the entourage, someone dies, and the background plays cheerful music. It's funny, it's a contrast, especially if you don't know it's a black comedy, but you're concentrating on something serious. But after ten minutes, everything falls into place, this terrible awkwardness and absurdity of situations suggests that you can laugh, no one will throw a stone at you for this, even if someone is killed on the screen. Thank you very much to the director that he withstood the tension in the picture and did not overplay with emotions, finding a middle ground in the genre.
Finally, I want someone to applaud separately, not even as an actor, but as a character. I most like the girl of a bitch, who definitely knows how to weave, but not with threads, but with fates. These are pretty ladies of mind, my big passion, which I'm trying to get rid of and hide away from this weird attraction. And in general, a good movie, but here are some different lists of beloved, far away.
It is no secret that most modern films have completely forgotten how to surprise the viewer when watching. Surprise at all with fresh and new ideas, how many ways to beat even the most worn-out topics in an interesting image for the viewer. This is what this film of the director Greg Marx, who may not have collected a stunning box office and the love of critics, but certainly looks very good representative of the "film almanac", which until the last is difficult to determine unequivocally neither comedies nor thrillers.
The idea itself is not new enough. Something similar has already been in “Pulp Fiction”, “Firing Point”, “Clash” and a number of other films on this topic, but certainly the director of the picture Greg Marx did not decide to repeat and presented the topic in a fairly fresh vein. When the picture itself is a whole patina of different destinies of completely different and unrelated at first glance characters whose paths and destinies unexpectedly intersect at one point and this point is the time of 11 hours and 14 minutes of the night. The time when the life of each of them changed unexpectedly, dramatically and significantly.
The film is certainly intriguing because the director of the film alternately tells the story of each of the characters. Whether it’s ordinary teenagers who decided to have fun driving and paid for it, or a couple of local store vendors who decided to cheat their boss on money. At first glance, each of the characters is not connected with the other, but constantly returning to the time interval "up to 11-14", the director of the film Greg Marx very closely connects each of the characters with each other and only in the final collects the entire mosaic picture together.
It cannot be said that the events unfold extremely unexpectedly, and the finale is a truly luxurious culmination of the picture. Nope. The film rather attracts quite an interesting combination of dark and gray crime thriller with restrained black comedy. Allowing them to smile enough with all the comedy of the situation and the absurdity of what is happening. As if materializing on the screen the concept of that, this is what it means to “be in the wrong place and at the wrong time” and if usually unlucky, then unlucky on the big one.
Looks pretty and the cast, which is led by more famous Hilary Swank, Barbara Hershey, Sean Hatosi, Ben Foster, Colin Hanks and Clark Gregg looks very interesting. At the same time, encouraging the fact that each of the actors coped with their task well and given the fact that there is no single main character in the picture, they all look equally interesting. Unless, significantly highlighting the late Patrick Swayze, who seemed to mock his title of "sex symbol of the 80s and 90s" and Rachel Lee Cook, which flashed in the picture his sexuality oh how much.

11:14 is a very good mixture of crime thriller and black comedy, which, if it does not look like a unique event in the genre, then certainly one of its strongest examples for sure. Very intriguing, unusual, absurd, but quite busy and eccentric film, which is really interesting to watch.
Dark humour is like a pair of legs: not everyone has it
How do you usually spend the evening? Pay attention to the time? Someone plunges into a deep sleep, someone sits at work and another cup of coffee does not hide the dipped features of the face, and someone tries on outfits - the whole night ahead, on the clock only 11 with a little.
There's a car on the way, but the driver wouldn't say he's drunk, no, it's just a good mood. Suddenly - oh my God! - the windshield crashes and the young man is horrified to see the body on the side of the road. At 11:14, does that mean anything to other residents of a quiet provincial town?
From the first shots, I held my breath and thought: “I love it”, but when I caught myself thinking that the film was, like, serious, and a smile spreads on my face, I began to worry about myself. However, doubts were resolved when it turned out that the claimed genre was nothing more than a black comedy. "Wow," I thought.
One awkward move and the director risks reaching the bar of "Ew, what a mess" or "He's crazy"? I would be disingenuous if I concealed from the fact that there were moments that questioned the genius of the film, but they did not spoil the overall impression.
Sometimes, to fully understand a situation, you need a chance to look at it from the outside, which is generously provided by the Greek Marx, deftly putting elements of history on shelves. Although the inversion is not an original find in the film industry, but the shooting was made qualitatively and tastefully.
Acquaintance with the young actors took place on the day of watching the film, so I was not aware of their work before, so I will note only that none of them failed the audience expectations. A memorable, ambiguous film is undoubtedly worthy of your attention, do not miss.
A film about what a difficult situation can be formed by the actions of ordinary people.
The film presents itself as a dark comedy, and it certainly is. That’s just to laugh, you should watch the film to the very end, and, of course, for this you should have a rather gloomy sense of humor. Well, you may not laugh, but this movie will cheer you up.
And yet, first and foremost, this is a wonderful thriller. He's intriguing, he's holding on until the very end. And when it seems to the viewer that everything is already clear, suddenly new details are found out, and so gradually all the scenes of the film add up to a whole picture.
Similar films, where the events are parallel and closely intertwined, after Pulp Fiction came out a huge mass, and most of them are low-budget films, which only this and tried to leave. But this manner of presentation, although it looks cool at first, such films do not save, because other than that, such films have nothing to offer. Yes, and remove when there are already at hand samples like the same Fiction or Remember is not so difficult, only otherwise of course they do not reach their level.
In the same film, the emphasis is not on the very manner of shooting, although here it looks simply exemplary (for its level of course), but on black humor, well, bloody places are justified by the prefix “black”. Therefore, there is no need to strain from changing scenes, etc., because because of the common easy motive, the film did not become complicated by unnecessary plot difficulties characteristic of such films. And despite the non-linear plot, the overall picture develops quite easily and effortlessly, all puzzles are folded for you, you do not need to closely follow everything. Plus, there are no extra actors, there are generally not very many of them, and all of them are involved, and everyone has at least a few replicas.
Now the comedy part. The very thing for a film that does not set high goals for itself, just for easy viewing. The script itself is not bad, but it is also complemented by the quality of the actors, almost every character here was revealed despite the minimum amount of time, as the film caught them in the most critical moments of their lives, in which you can usually learn a lot about a person. And all of them are real, people who can be found on the street, but who faced unforeseen circumstances. Comedy is made not only by the bindings in which the characters fall, but also by their reaction to it. Therefore, there are no direct jokes here, only ordinary life, which creates them.
In total, a film that you do not want to pause, it makes you follow the vicissitudes of this story, and after watching which, you will have a pleasant impression. And after a few years, you can review, and the second viewing will bring no less pleasure than the first.
The human factor “lights”, or what they all did not sit at home
What happens in a sleepy little American town at night? The answer is, anything! Small sleepy American towns are fertile ground for the most insane fantasies of filmmakers and screenwriters. It is here, in a quiet pool, flying saucers fall and break, vampire clans trade, bloodthirsty maniacs of all stripes and voracious mutants of dubious origin live.
Little sleepy Middleton from the movie "11:14" can not boast of any of the above. However, strange things are happening in it, and this night the local police will be tight.
11:14 is an original film in its own way, exploring the boundaries of human stupidity and meanness ... and not finding them (Einstein was right). The plot is at least curious. It's perfectly mounted. You're gonna get really smart by unleashing this tangle of mysteries! Especially during the second session.
Banal things such as “drinking while driving, harming health”, “do not dig a hole for another”, “whom you will behave with, so you should” appear before us in a new light, with colorful and bloody illustrations.
Should I recommend this film to you or not? Here I strain. "11:14" Reminiscent of a killer anecdote on the verge of a foul, which you will not tell everyone (and even then in a whisper in your ear), and you will not just throw out of memory.
Let's go in from the other side. Do you like to fold a Rubik's Cube? 11:14 is a bizarre puzzle of human vices and passions, abundantly seasoned with cynical black humor. Funny, cruel, instructive. It’s a good idea for people to “not do it.”
And in general - a movie for an amateur (amateur, na-le-thai).
Middleton is a middle town in which, behind the outer veil of provincial routine, each resident has his skeletons in his closet. In a quiet pool, as you know, there are devils, corpses, severed heads and so on. The whole film takes place at night, within a radius of 10-15 minutes to the fatal figure 11:14, when the fates of all the characters collide at one point. It is like a puzzle: at first vaguely do not understand what is what, but the further everything falls into place, eventually merging into one picture of the world. At the same time, the development of the plot is always unpredictable. There is no mysticism in the picture: solid black humor, sometimes grotesque, otherwise a thriller. In general, everything that happens is like a black joke, where all the characters are passable, and do not cause emotions. It’s interesting to see it as a mathematical puzzle, but nothing more.
It's not an accident. 11:14 is the time of crossing lives.
I decided to watch this film on the recommendation of Kinopoisk, because it is on a par with such films as “Remember”, “Firing Point”, “Shooter”, “Source Code”, “Jer Richard”, which are worthy of attention, new discoveries, thoughts, ideological and quality.
What can I say about 11:14? The film is weak and even in comparison with the above films can not be put. Horrifying scenes that are related to each other excite the whole film and in anticipation of some semantic denouement, except that the fates of people in 11 hours and 14 minutes touched and the logical series closed – nothing was shown. Stupid ending.
The main characters of the plot, as for me, got what they deserved. Life is not a series of accidents, but a chain of our actions, thoughts, choices, decisions. It shows the anti-morality and baseness of each hero and how in the end everyone paid a very high price - the life or life of a loved one. There is no place for a smile or kindness in this film, it is hopelessly filled with negativity from and to.

It happens so – rave reviews, high marks ... You watch a movie and you want to spit. No, there is a core in this 11:14, there is an idea. Several crazy bloody stories in a small town, tied in a complex puzzle, and converge at the very moment that is put into the title of the film. The idea is not new, but you can shoot. And, in fact, it's been twisted. Except it didn't work. It didn’t work out because each of these stories is extraordinarily stupid, and no matter how famously you don’t put them together, there’s still a sense of being cheated. And the genre of black youth comedy, with which they try to gloss over frank scripted stupidities, covers holes only in the eyes of the very youth, little experienced in a good movie. There was one unstoppable C in our class. In his senior year, he transferred to a lower school, where, moreover, Roma children studied. So, he graduated from high school almost as an excellent student. That’s the secret of the high ratings of this film. The main thing is to identify the audience correctly.
"11:14" - such films should only be enjoyed, and then after watching, admire and advise everyone. I’ve seen movies like this before, like 4.3.2.1, a thriller by young director Noel Clark. The film was also staged in a similar style, but it was not as exciting and interesting as this one. At that time, still a very young, twenty-seven-year-old, director and screenwriter Greg Marx, for whom his own film became his debut, just for six million dollars, put a wonderful movie full of various delicious things.
As you can see, the budget is not too big, but the idea and the director’s presentation of this fascinating night story personally knocked me off my feet, I was amazed by this film, I liked it very much, and to be honest, I did not even want it to end. The cast is full of talented at that time too young actors, I will not count, because there are so many of them. The highlight of the film is that the director shows the same evening, but with different eyes, completely different people.
This is a magical number 11:14, the exact time that will completely change the fate of all the characters in the film. This time is full of human mistakes, which will lead everyone into an immense void. In fact, if you look at the film, you can understand how simple it really is, but it is all these plot twists that made it a real, unforgettable puzzle. No, don't worry, the puzzle is roughly put, the film is so built that any unexpected situation that requires an answer immediately provides it. The black comedy from Greg Marx literally pulls you into some whirlpool where you want to be for a long time.
There is no culprit here, there are culprits here, and little by little. Everyone made a mistake, and all this together created a fateful night. The plot takes us to the small town of Middleton. The guy drives a car and listens to the radio, like on a clock, 11:14, and a man's body falls on his hood. This is a guy who died in an accident, his already dead body was dumped by the father of a daughter who cheated on her boyfriend with this. Re-reading what I wrote, my head is already a little round. Hilary Swank and Patrick Swayze are the names of the actors that you and I are very familiar with, these are just two puzzles. Most of all, I liked Rachel Lee Cook, who here plays the role of the key figure, the whole damner. To sum up, amazing movie, pleasure, which lasts an hour and a half.
To begin with, the whole movie, as the title suggests, is one big puzzle. The chain of accidents occurs throughout the film and at the end of this chain closes, putting a bold point in this mini-story. The genre is definitely a black comedy, there is no doubt about it. Time flew by quickly... the film does not delay, does not strain, but after watching only a smile remains on the face, and in the head a folded picture.
The only thing I really regretted was watching the trailer for the film, the sex of the film was exposed, it was not so interesting to watch, because you know in advance what will happen. For example, the trailer shows that the first character who allegedly hit someone, in fact, only “caught” a corpse thrown from a bridge (and I do not disclose the plot, but only retell the trailer ... I do not violate the laws)! If I didn’t know, the movie would have been more interesting.
But in general, everything was quite interesting, original (now it is clear from where the plot for the film 4.3.2.1) and almost unpredictable.

...or "At this time, their lives changed forever."
Late evening. An empty road. Drunk driver. Time is 11:14. Accident.
Do you think it's the driver's fault?
To begin with, this is a comedy. Despite the continuous crime, the film will not work without laughter and I do not claim that it will be a hysterical laugh, just the tape looks easy and even with irony. It is amazing how many different life stories could be connected together in such an impracticable but rather fascinating plot. “What they fought for, they fought for.”
Several people. Some of them know the rest well, some not so well. Someone saw them only once in their lives, someone communicates constantly. That evening they were making their plans and solving their problems, but life ordered them to deliver a completely different puzzle. Exactly at 11:14, their fates turned into simple toys for chance, because everything in the world is interconnected.
Perhaps the most interesting thing was to watch the plexus of all events and when you look at it, you get the impression that there is one big mosaic in front of the audience, pieces of which gradually fall into place, opening up the big picture, and when this happens, you kind of realize how simple it turns out to be. It’s funny that in the finale, the viewer understands this banality – do nothing wrong, otherwise you will have to pay for it, but sometimes you can bypass it.
In general, it is interesting and for this, perhaps, it is worth saying “thank you” and the actors, it is good that there are really stars here: Patrick Swayze, Rachel Lee Cook, Hilary Swank, etc. It’s really worth a look.
Verdict: "11:14", in my opinion, a film about what happens to those who decide to live by their own rules. Fate is an amazing thing, you can’t hide from it and you can’t run away from it, and sometimes it lays out completely paradoxical things. Yes, it is simple, but incredibly interesting!
11:14. Just the numbers on the clock. But Gerg Marx thinks differently. Middleton. It’s an ordinary town with ordinary problems. But as if fortune had turned away from them, not at 0:00, as is usually the case in mystical films, but at 11:14. And now their lives will be turned upside down. They don’t even know how.
This film made a lasting impression on me: I can praise it for hours. Everything's great in this movie. Gerg Marx, for example, did not do a particularly good job of filming 2009’s Gift, which was the next film after 11:14. However, for "11:14" he bowed at his feet. I hope to hear more about it in the future.
The cast is perfectly selected. Each actor corresponds to his character so much that, in place of the heroes of other actors, it is even difficult to imagine.
As stated in the slogan, it is definitely a black comedy. But black humor is here in moderation, it's where it should be. Therefore, even if you have a negative attitude towards it, it is worth watching this film.
In fact, it seems that the plot is simple and complex at the same time, which gives the film some zest. Some people don’t understand why they should watch this movie at all, some people even find something brilliant in it. 11:14 is a movie in the spirit of Christopher Nolan's "Remember." But no, the plot is not similar, but the presentation of the film. And it's absolutely delightful. It is an incredible feeling when you reconstruct the course of events in your imagination, build connections between them, try to predict the past, and then when the puzzle is assembled, you wonder what can actually happen in one minute.
The movie 11:14 is brain food. If you like to think, if you like black humor, if you like an unusual plot, you should watch this movie.
