Tse movie about chi Yes – this is another film about “rope” Asians, but, no – it is somewhat not what you expect.
Paphosic tales with the inevitable philosophy of the East about the next key (scroll, artifact) enslaving the Universe (giving Power, opening the Gate) always lack a share of healthy humor. Not the fart humor of comics for pimple American nerds, but the light humor of old Soviet fairy tales by Master Rowe.
But here it is, and here it is appropriate and funny. This is something like Panda Po, but this time shot “in the homeland”.
A clumsy policeman goes through stages of self-awareness: from an honest, unlucky little punk to a master of using Qi/Chi energy with a gloss if not James Bond, but also somewhere in the “that steppe”. And the lady of the heart is present, and wise mentors, and the villain (by the way - they are Asians are much more successful than different Balkans, depicting Russians, for example, bandits) - the whole set of good narrative. And the team working on the film did not miss their chance - the final product came out decent.
A small minus is the notorious “dual ropes”, and the action sagged in the middle of the film. A minor minus - we look with pleasure.
