To be or to appear. The most unusual interview of your life Imagine that your future employer decided to do an interview at your home. Of course, he warned in advance, gave time to prepare, but this is no easier. Where do you start the preparation - wipe the apartment to shine, order designer curtains, and maybe even start repairs? The hero of the film Gerard had several days to prepare, he was helped by two - his wife Colette and volunteered expert on the first impression, he is a neighbor.
To make a first impression, what is it like? Gerard got a chance to prove himself a serious specialist. The apartment should also look solid. No petty-bourgeois figurines and paintings, only true works of art, for example, a lamp in the style of Modern. The expert will not advise the bad - every detail is important from the strips on the tie to the dishes that will be served for dinner.
- And tell your son to clean up the railroad.
- But we don't have children...
Trying to get a serious job, Gerard strives to create an image that will please the boss, not realizing that everything may not go as expected. Is it more important to get a good offer by pretending a little, or to give a damn about everything and show your employer your true face? It seems that the answer is obvious: to be an adult and solid, you must put all the joy in the pawnshop and present to the world what is approved by knowledgeable people.
- I didn't know your husband was a siderodromophile. . .
- You never said you were that...sidero... what was his... Pontignac told me. . . Are you sick?
- It's not a disease. This is what people call trains.
Gerard passes the test with dignity. In the best genre of good French comedy, he tries to create a positive impression, not knowing what kind of man his future boss is. However, he remains himself and that will affect the final. One of the episodes of the film amusingly echoes our ' Love and Pigeons' - here's only Vasya has a problem with a tie, Gerard with pants.
The film is good for both a pleasant evening to get distracted and for those who have a panicked fear of interviews. In the end, you might wonder if it’s worth it ' to appear' to make a good impression or still afford the luxury of being yourself. The answer will surprise you.
