I need the key! As I understand it, the film was conceived as a sequel to The Mysterious Garden of 1993.
To me, the director killed all the magic from the first film, wanting to refresh the film with special effects, so fashionable for the time. The attention to the details, so dear to the heart of the heroes, also went away.
In the 1993 film, the magic came from some values, whether it was an elephant on the table at my mother’s, photos of her and her sister, the key, the beautiful nature of England. That's not in this movie. Of course, the worst was the garden. Where are all those arcades, mazes? We see a platform in four walls, a few flower beds around the fountain and a few statues. Thank you so much for leaving the swing.
Playing actors on level, Camilla saves the movie. As for the plot, he's a little weak. There is no such heartbreaking drama as in the first film, and there is no pronounced love line among the main characters, although it may be the best. The music in the film didn’t touch it either. More pictures with blooming flowers ... and so on:
