Blood Countess This Hammer film should be seen in isolation from the rest of the vampire series of British storytellers. There will be no Count Dracula, no fangs, no bloodsuckers. The script is based on the story of Elizabeth Bathory, who used the blood of virgins to regain her youth.
Countess Elizabeth is widowed. This moment has been waiting for her secret lover and guard, Captain Doby, for 20 years. But, accidentally discovering the secret of rapid rejuvenation, the Countess is fond of a young lieutenant. To confuse everyone, Elizabeth impersonates her own daughter Ilona. Ilona herself gets ambushed by Dobi and languishes in a forest hut. But residents of the town, who previously considered the Countess a witch, notice the disappearance of young girls. An ominous murmur is rising.
The entourage was created by the Hungarian immigrant, director Peter Shashdi, who shot the mediocre film “Taste of Dracula’s Blood”. And the new work is anemic and weak.
