The case of a state criminal - Yuri Zolotitsky, during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, who betrayed the Motherland and committed a number of especially grave acts, becomes a truly exciting story, which has everything: the harsh truth of wartime, which made someone a hero and someone a traitor, the painstaking work of the investigators of the State Security Committee to find and catch a traitor, the everyday, life side of the relationship of the committee staff, and even the love line.
The plot is not in a hurry, but by the middle of the film, events begin to develop rapidly and you no longer notice how you find yourself involved in the process of catching the criminal, observing the deductive method of investigator Andrei Polikanov (played by A. Demyanenko), his colleagues in the service, which eventually leads them to solve the mystery of Zolotsky and his exposure.
The role of KGB investigator Alexander Demyanenko succeeded. Unusual, but no less pleasant to see the actor in a completely different environment, in the role of a serious and thoughtful servant of the law, at the same time not without a sense of humor.
