It's an amazing nineteenth-century experience. . . I remember that I learned about this film a long time ago and somehow accidentally. It seems that someone from adults watched it in the early 2000s, apparently, there was a premiere. And for some reason he spoke unflatteringly about him, saying "well, so boring." And I, a small one, was suddenly hooked by a picture on the screen - grass wet from morning dew, a stroller with a horse, a line, a field with flowers, a manor house ... For some reason I remember a field illuminated by the summer sun. And since the film was still not a children's, I did not watch it, of course - my mother was always attentive to such things. And then I completely forgot.
I remember when I was 25. Since I managed to get to the play “Savage” in the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky - I love Ostrovsky, really. The performance made a stunning impression on me, sitting, not breathing. And then suddenly something popped up in my mind: I know them, I saw them! On an old TV screen, at 9. And immediately remembered the field - in the theater it still will not show.
I've watched the movie 6 times. The shooting is amazing. No words, the spirit is breathtaking - the camera flies across the sky, over meadows, over the line, over the bridge. And the actors play with gestures, tone of voice, turns of the head! This is an old Soviet school, just irresistible! Daria Moroz is young and charming. The director of the film did the right thing - all the actors are close to the age of their characters, it bribes, there is no tension and curvature. Youth is not hidden, wisdom in the eyes - too.
This film takes me back to the summer - to the Russian summer, with bees in jam, with songs by the haystacks, with bathing in the rivers, with hot nights and long-awaited thunderstorms, with the last human hopes and with the first disappointments of youth. . .
And human passions are played here as lived. Honestly, sincerely, truthfully. This is the highest professionalism, dedication to the game, dedication to the source. I think this movie is undeservedly forgotten. It is strange that the play “Savage” is also not very popular. not in every library you will find it, even in bookstores problematic.
Be sure to watch this film - it is just about the Russian soul, about the past XIX century, about the eternal values and eternal questions of man to being and to himself.
