Newcomers of our day “There is an idea” is a pleasant, relaxing comedy with Evgeny Mironov in the title role.
The plot of the film is very simple: two childhood friends decide to start a business. Small and large commerce has long flourished in the country, and one of them, Oleg (Sergey Astakhov), has an idea. And then again and again. And while Oleg fantasizes with ideas and pursues women, Anton (Eugene Mironov) is forced to puff out for Oleg's tricks.
These two friends and business partners are as different as two poles. Oleg is confident, bragging, cheeky, able to arrange and chatter. Anton is modest, homely, not conflicting, in appearance less initiative and not strong-willed. And Anton - virtuoso plays the saxophone, but only his talent is wasted, and in life better settled less talented, but penetrating, like a battering ram, Oleg.
Anton is very similar to the main character of the film “Office novel” Novoseltsev (Andrey Myagkov). Here and external similarity (set and crown attribute: glasses) and similarity of characters (seeming uncertainty with a strong inner core).
The film consists of two episodes of an hour each. The first series is the introductory to the second, where the most interesting will begin. When you look at it, a well-known truth comes to mind: “Not everything that shines is gold.” Often, a less confident person has a lot more behind him than someone who is self-confident. And self-confidence is sometimes based not on abilities and talents, but rather on luck and chance. So, when luck turns away from Oleg and shows his face to Anton, they seem to change places.
The red line through the plot is the theme of self-realization, its importance for proper self-esteem and in general in life. Paradoxically, the hero finds himself exactly at the moment when he stops looking for ways and abandons the childhood dream that never gave him peace.
The film has humor, lightness and at the same time - a ground for reflection. Beautiful music, and yachts gliding across the sea to plunge into the sunset. After viewing, there is a very pleasant impression.
P.S. In 2015, the comedy “Norweg” was also released with Evgeny Mironov in the title role. So there is a feeling that Anton from the film “There is an idea” migrated to the film “Norweg”, taking with him a suitcase Novoseltsevsky, inside which glasses and a psychological problem: the inability to say “no”.
