Bugs! The series is very great and exciting! It just has a huge amount of action, as well as a great drawing. The plot is generally not bad, although it sometimes repeats slightly between seasons. The character and story of each of the characters is well and well thought out. And they fought for eight seasons with more than a thousand species of various monsters! The design of bugs, that’s why I watched this cartoon from the beginning, it’s just amazing! I should also note that the film has excellent, dynamic music, as well as the action itself by the way.
First season: (Operation Pluto):
To be honest, the beginning of such a grand series, very weak, as it did not like. Exceptions are only the latest series. Battles are all monotonous, on monotonous terrain, and in the dark all the time. But the design of beetles is very hooked, so still began to look further.
Season Two: (Operation Hydor):
That's different. New story, new bugs, new equipment. But it is still weak, but there is progress. And the season itself is tense, as the heroes are surrounded between water and air where they are constantly watched and attacked by sinister sea and flying beetles.
Season Three: (Operation Tophet):
This is really great. I especially liked the image of beetles spewing flames through their mouths. But so are humanoids. And one of them “Tefai” I think most remembered by the fans, because he stayed until the very end, but it’s a pity that he was never able to return to his planet, to his family.
Season Four: (Operation Tesca):
That's where the show went! There are a lot of interesting turns of events, like modifier bugs and spiders. There are also new monsters that are not bugs. Like elephant sharks, crocodiles that look like prehistoric lizards - dimetrodons and strange flying creatures similar to dragonflies. The last episode of the season is my favorite, there is a huge worm a la graboid from “The Trembling of the Earth”.
Season Five (Operation Zephyr):
Not too bad. Each series is diverse, but the white, snowy background is very boring to the eyes. The ending of the last series is very epic! I also liked the idea of huge beetles the size of a huge asteroid.
Season Six (Operation Klendatu):
Not a bad season, probably the best after the last, eighth. The first three series are excellent and atmospheric, and the other two are some kind of dull, although in the last returned the old hero-telepathic team who was in a coma after a battle with a brain bug.
Seventh season: (Operation Persecutors)
Shortest season, only one episode. You can see that the creators were not allowed to turn around, but still it turned out not bad. The ending is not logical.
The eighth season: (Operation Homefront)
My favorite of all seasons, a huge amount of action and different kinds of bugs in each series. As well as a constant change of scenery, they are fighting with sea arthropods in Los Angeles, then in the mountains of Canada with a brain monster well, etc. Even an old videotape remains with this operation. And it was with him that my fascination with various monsters and actually further watching the entire series began.
___
Well, I want to add that the series itself is very atmospheric and the best for all the films of the series “Star landing”, as I believe. I recommend the series to everyone! It can be watched alone or in large company, adults or children. In any case, you will have a lot of positive impressions!
