And the feeling was sharp as a blade. The sun rises, the sky sobers up,
Sitting in a field of moonshine dew,
Sitting on "Java" district Spiridon,
Only women, women make moonshine.
In the stray twentieth year in the Odessa village of Severinovka arrived not the district Spiridon, but a mustless gymnasist with the appearance of Dima Kharatyan, appointed by the mysterious but formidable Ugro to eradicate potters as a class for the October holidays. And instead of not yet invented "Java" rode Volodka Patrickev on a permanently stolen-found green van with a pair of unexpectedly descent for that time horses. Peasants habitually take the measure from the footprint of the chief, the hanging Grishchenko (Borislav Brondukov) retivo collects material evidence with a natural product, in the wasteland the youth chases the ball, calling this event the newfangled word “football”, the aristocratic Cherven kills without taking his hands out of his pockets. The dawn of the birth of a new world.
Encouraged by the directorial breakdown in some episodes of “The meeting place cannot be changed” (And now Humpback!), Vladimir Vysotsky was excited by the idea to re-shoot “Green Van”, two decades earlier already filmed by the same Odessa film studio. The film was included in the plan, but those two years, while the documents and estimates were drawn up and visited, Vladimir Semenovich did not have. And after countless meetings and plenums, Alexander Pavlovsky, who was not very eager for this, was put on the project. He eventually created his best picture. The most amazing thing is that this, through and through adventure, movie with elements of vaudeville and comedy like “Wedding in Malinovka” is based on real events, as it is fashionable to write now in the credits of every second Hollywood action movie. The romantic opera, who dived from the gymnasium bench into the criminal investigation, was then known to all Evgeny Petrov, the creator of the dilogy about the adventurous adventures of the great combinator, and his antagonist, horse thief-raider Handsome - the author of the story "Green van" Alexander Kozachinsky. The broken time gave birth to unusual heroes.
There are paintings, good pictures that are hard to see again. And there is a reverse case when the illusion of knowledge of the plot dissolves in the opening of new, completely unexpected turns. In school youth, the most memorable fact was the name of the main villain, completely coinciding with the name of my small homeland, student maximalism looked for contradictions in revolutionary slogans, the experience gained on calendar turns suddenly scattered a whole deck of allusions and references - here the crooked smirk with raspberries behaves one at a time with a Manka Bond ("Into the machine!") Not in this!), here is the criminal authority with the intonation of Ostap Bender ranting that he is not on the way with the new state, here Brondukov suspiciously persistently, with Lestrade incredulity, asks about Sherlock Holmes. They borrow from the Green Van. For example, in the notorious Brigade, two enemy comrades at the showdown also naively chase a football. And now you listen to phrases that previously seemed secondary, and marvel at the decision of socialist censorship to let the film on the wide screen.
There was a proposal to voluntarily donate moonshine to hospitals for medical purposes!
- What is it doing? Now all our men will go to the hospital.
Or
We will fight until we destroy all the rich.
- So what, then, is everyone going to be poor?
But with each viewing, the register of actors becomes wider, which can now be seen only on the screen. Alexander Solovyov, who was beaten to death, who was identified in the morgue as Handsome, paralyzed and forgotten by everyone Borislav Brondukov, who did not survive another heart attack, Alexander Demyanenko, who did not recover from a stupid fight, Konstantin Grigoriev, who did not overcome cirrhosis of the liver Eduard Martsevich, Viktor Ilyichev, the quietly gone Lev Perfilov, Ivan Matveev, Margarita Krinitsina, Boris Saburov, Yuriyev, who died from a stroke... The film is only thirty years old.
Many people today do not accept the pictures, infused with the spirit of revolution and civil war. The word "comrades" has gone, the word "master" has not returned. The film "Svema" fades on digital equipment. And it seems that modern life has nothing to do with the hot blood of the twentieth century. But still, the people are suspicious of any power that has fallen on their heads. The Odessa conversation is still not like a literary mova. Raspberry and Khaz did not exterminate in five years or fifty. The Black Sea tirelessly shares drums, bulls and mullet. And above the rural roofs, covered with a shingle, a gray moonshine haze still rises.
