Stylish and brash. A very audacious character of Fardin Khan in this film. And that makes him very attracted to himself. Yesterday I watched another film, with the participation of the amazing "Fardin Khan" (I still have 10-12 of his films that have not been watched). I watched this movie with a vague feeling. On the one hand, I hate all sorts of scammers and deceivers who trick people around the finger to pump money out of them, I just can not stand the spirit. On the other hand, they did it for a very specific reason, which is easy to understand. And they deceived the largest criminal authorities of the city. It seems that it is not a sin to steal from thieves who themselves have made their wealth with the help of various criminal frauds, but the fact of fraud for the sake of money is not pleasant. I am always against deception in whatever form it is. I myself am an honest person (not bragging, but stating a fact), and I do not like when others lie randomly, and even for my own benefit. A lie in any form and under any pretext is pure evil. Because it has not brought anything good to anyone in the history of mankind. Only problems and misfortunes. I had a very vague feeling while watching. But, the very atmosphere of the film, the plot itself and the story itself are magnificent. I will continue to talk about the story.
Two friends-friends, Arjun and Rohit, live on money earned by various frauds. They run out of money from time to time and have to cheat again. One day, they pulled off a deal for a large sum of money, which affected the interests of one very powerful don. Don is naturally not happy with this situation and intends to return his money. Then one of the friends, Rohit, dies at the hands of this same don, and the second of the friends, Arjun, intends to avenge the death of his friend. But sooner or later it would have happened, given what these guys were doing. And now, to save his life, Arjun decides to steal money for Don, another Don, more powerful.
I was just struck by the opening scene itself, which begins with the narrative at the end. Each frame was simply poetry, as well as an indicator that the debut film of Supern Verma is iconic in its style and plot. In fact, this film became a cult, far ahead of its time. This is one of those films that will get a high rating over time because new and young viewers continue to watch them.
Now actors. Fardin Khan (Arjun) is simply brilliant here. The role of a kind of Indian Ostap Bender suited him perfectly. Still, the guy he is incredibly talented, and can play any role that you admire, and you will applaud him standing up. Fardin did a decent job. He was just gorgeous, desperate, stylish and daring. Still, to get involved in such an adventure with such dangerous criminal authorities, you need to be incredibly audacious. You don't even need courage or calculation. Only audacity and self-confidence. Fardina goes to be bold, although he always looks quite good-natured guy, with his kind eyes and a charming good smile. But he did it brilliantly.
Cohen Mitra. I've seen her in a couple of movies. And to be honest, she doesn't impress me. It’s a beautiful one, according to her outfits. And I really didn’t like the very frank love scene in the hotel, as in American films, I don’t like it in Indian cinema (although some people probably liked it), although the music in this scene sounded just magical, I even wanted to dance to it. I can't say anything about her talent, I haven't looked at her. Here, too, she did not impress me, neither as in love with Arjuna, nor as resentful and angry with him. I didn't see the emotion in her face. Yes, and the special love between Natasha and Arjun I also did not notice, only passion and attraction to each other (that very scene in the hotel).
Gulshan Grover (Sikander). In the role of a formidable don, who is not afraid of anything and no one, as always good. In general, Gulshan is always good in negative roles (although I always like him more in positive roles, but here everyone has his own). He's got a look, a haircut, a look, a point. As always at the level.
Ferosis Khan (Jaginder Khan) is the same, ' the most formidable' the mafia-like Don, whom everyone fears. Here he is bald and formidable, but not scary. He still lasciviously looks at women and guesses the brand of perfume they wear while he runs his many businesses. In general, I like Ferosis in his later roles no less than in his early roles (only for some reason bald always, either with age bald, or completely changed his image and just shaved naked).
Mukul Dev, Murli Sharma, Sharad Kapoor, Rohit Roy and Kay Kay Menon are good in their roles. Kay Kay I liked it here. He is a specific actor, both externally and in the performance of roles, and I have not yet understood how I feel about him, once I like him, just pleases, and once terribly annoying. In this film, he really pleased me. His character Cafe, reminiscent of our Russian "brothers" who worked for different mafiosi, in the dashing 90s. He was slightly inhibited, and too hot-tempered, often waving a gun about and without reason, but very pretty.
Generally fascinating intrigue, which only at first glance consists in a scam started by clever fraudsters on trust. Their clever combination attracts attention and only at the end you understand what the whole salt is. Unexpected ending, but not in life. On the surface, in this film, we see the story of clever scammers and their ingenious (and not so) schemes to take money from different people. And in general, it looks fascinating, although in some cases predictable. But, in the film there are several key phrases that will help the attentive viewer understand the essence of the narrative and draw interesting parallels. Who's who? And who's manipulating who? It’s not as simple as it initially seems.
If you like strong criminal thrillers about scammers, adventurers, money bags and double sets in the field of gambling, with a great game of actors, then this film is for you!
