The plot of the film is as simple as 2x2. The events shown in it are not surprising. All characters are familiar. The only "abnormal" character here is the teacher himself, who in an extremely cruel manner refuses to tolerate the attacks of young cattle in his direction and puts them in their place. Despite the very short time of the film, the layer of problems of the societies of the victorious democracy is revealed.
Here are the savage juvenile scumbags who (alas - and this is true ) are conceived by the same irresponsible scoundrels who have self-removed from their upbringing and consider the provision of food and shelter all their parental duties ( what then is the difference from orphanages, I ask?). This is exactly the contingent who, after the offspring have contrived 'deeds', will scream that 'he was an exemplary boy!' However, statistics are ready to burst from such “muhane abusers”, the number of which in happy societies free from “bloody hell” is growing and growing. Here and stupid and hypocritical chinushi, ready for any meanness for the sake of “the press did not know!”. Here, in general, is the image of that impotent deideologized state machine, which is capable of nothing but generating internal social crises. Here is the image of a crowd of compromisers and connivance with the audacity of really “caught up” migrants who in a foreign country set their own rules and despise the indigenous population, from whose taxes they receive their unemployment benefits, for which they are drugged and engaged in another marginal movement.
Of course, in the case of Western countries, this is somewhat a boomerang effect. Nobody asked them to interfere in the internal affairs of Africans, Asians, Native Americans, Australians, etc.
In general, the film turns from a simple school drama into a general social drama.
Minimal school, which was supposed to reduce the risk of teenagers falling into crime, has become a swamp for them, in which they are trained in the criminal “craft”. In general, such schools, in which the teacher is a servant, are the ground for nurturing future heroes of another French film - Hate. Crowds of Vinces, Hubers and Saids: this is the result of the activities of such schools. We really wanted to adapt to the educational standards of the advanced West? Well, judging by the annual "Columbine" in our educational institutions, the result is logical - "adapted"!
And so far, apparently, this film lesson has not gone for good for officials from the ministries of education in all countries of the "winning feminism, tolerance, handshake and multiculturalism". Impotents are doomed to extinction. However, perhaps soon the term impotence will be replaced by some less “offensive” for “non-reproductive minorities with a moronic smile on their face”. . .
This is my first time reviewing a film. And, in good conscience, I write from frustration.
So I watched this movie and thought: a good movie, good movie...
But shortly before the end, during a telephone conversation with the main character’s parents, it became clear: no, everything is as usual. Political correctness defeated the truth.
This was confirmed by the further development of the plot, up to the disgusting overflowing banalism and plagiarism of the final scene.
I don’t know whether the author of the film wanted to tell the truth, hiding behind a wretched contrived ending, or from the very beginning it was designed so, but the film is spoiled.
I remember Bulgakov. Congratulations, citizen. . .
So, in my opinion, the film, of course, is not about the problems of teachers and students, not about school at all. A film about the current situation in the world. Before our eyes there is a migration of people. What pushes European civilization, what gradually occupies a dominant place in today’s world, we were perfectly shown in the form of student heroes of the film.
Yeah, they're not exactly the same. Eat smarter, eat dumber. Harder and harder. But if anyone has noticed, the whole dispute between them is not at all about who is a man and who is an animal. No, it's different, brothers. They argue about who is a good Muslim. That's what I'm talking about.
The heroes of the film do not cause sympathy. None of them. Including the naive teacher. Which, to her credit, has her own opinion of what's going on. Clearly different from the official.
Which in itself seems to have really embraced European civilization. But not completely, for I did not understand that no civilization can be planted by force, just as it is impossible to bring happiness on bayonets.
Having come from a world where it is customary to solve all issues by violence, it has changed externally and internally, but has not changed at any genetic level. She probably never realized it herself.
There's nothing to say about students. Everything that happens in between takes place at the zoo level. It is interesting, however, that all the casual talk about Islam that arises here and there is not only because they see nothing else around them. European civilization itself is purely atheistic. And is not able to offer any substitute for this terrible, bloody religion.
The adepts of any teaching are not very different from the teaching itself. We didn’t just see it in this movie.
In brackets, the film was shot in 2008. That is, even before the so-called "Arab Spring" ' So it's still not even flowers. The berries are coming soon.
In short, the lesson didn't take place. I'm not evaluating.
The Last Lesson is a film by French director Jean-Paul Lillenfeld. This picture, which came out in 2008, is outstanding and very relevant in our time. It raises important problems of coexistence of people of different races, cultures, religions, civilizations in general.
The main character of the film is a teacher of French literature (she is played by actress Isabel Ajani), who teaches at an ordinary public school where troubled teenagers study. The day begins as usual, but as a result of another incident, a pistol from one of the students falls into the hands of a teacher. In addition, defending against the aggression of the teenager, she accidentally shot him in the leg. Thus, without even realizing it at first, she takes the class hostage.
It should be noted the high skill of the actors, director and cameraman, because the film takes place in a closed room. According to the plot, the lesson was to be devoted to the plays of Moliere. And this film itself has all the necessary attributes of the play, which, of course, are diluted with the rules of cinema.
The director of this film deserves respect, because “The Last Lesson” is a manifestation of his civic position. Unlike most European and American directors, he tried to objectively cover the issues of modern multicultural relations and coexistence in one society of representatives of different ethnic cultures. In this regard, I only think of 2 more films of this content - this is "American History X" (1998), which raises racial problems in the United States; as well as the coverage of adolescent problems in the Estonian film "Class" (2007).
"The Last Lesson" combines both motives - here the viewer shows the problems of both racial and cultural content, and adolescent cruelty. The picture is hard to read. Not that it's hard to watch. No, just watching it, there is a painful realization of what modern France and modern Europe have become.
For me, the main leitmotif of the film is the display of a general “impersonal dictatorship”, in the words of Dmitry Korchinsky. What do we see? Hypocrisy. Black teenagers shout that their teachers are “pressuring” them for their skin color, not because they simply haven’t learned a lesson and behave in a boorish way. Arabs shout racism, even though they say things from the Nazi lexicon of the 1930s and 1940s. Politicians talk about freedom and morality, although they did everything possible and impossible to make people feel cornered by the “humanism” of “universal European values.” The French themselves feel like aliens on their own land, and visitors from underdeveloped countries demand more and more rights, feeling their own strength and impunity. Promoting the development of selfishness in children and the desire for permissiveness on the part of the educational system.
Problems accumulate. The rivers of this mud will sooner or later break the dam. But nobody needs it. It is better to continue playing tolerance. It's not tolerance, though. This is permissiveness for some and the gradual selection of civil rights from others.
France ceased to be France. At least in big cities for sure. It is now a French-speaking society. It's not the French anymore.
The recent terrorist events in Paris have shown the extent of Europeans’ lethargy and limited narcissism. People think that politics does not concern them. It doesn't matter who or when they bomb. We're doing fine. So in a sense, ISIS is a natural development. And now the balance of power is broken. Europe and the US are facing an enemy that has no compromises and only pretends to go along with them. A war for the souls of men begins. When we watched military action on TV, we simply did not perceive it (until the war in eastern Ukraine broke out). Most of us didn't care. So it was all the same to the French, Germans, and Americans. But ISIS, for example, cares. They have a goal and a desire to achieve it. They have no aircraft, no precision missiles, but they have a purpose. They will strive to achieve it at any cost.
Do these Islamists not realize that their terrorists in France are now being jailed or killed? No, they're well aware of that. Their goal is to make safe Europeans feel in danger, to shake their belief that they are the “navel of the earth” and can do nothing to live as they please on social assistance from the government. They want the same French people to feel fear. This will be their victory.
But the “tolerant” policy of France has already done everything possible for such a scenario to develop. If Europe does not change, it is doomed. It's not even about ISIS, it's about Europe itself.
The only thing I want to add to the film is that I didn’t like the ending. The director, in my opinion, made a compromise: the end came out some, sorry, snotty. In real life, it couldn’t end like this. Yes, I believe some of the students have completely changed their minds for the better. But I don’t think all students would do that. In addition, the authors of the film clearly saved by making the main character an Arab.
An ordinary day at an ordinary French school for "difficult" teenagers. The students insult the teacher and bully her, and she is absolutely unable to do anything about it. Desperate and accidentally stumbling upon a gun, she decides in a special way to calm down the youth and still hold a lesson.
That's how you watch a movie about a foreign high school and you think it's good that I don't live there. What kind of kids are studying there? These are not children, but real bandits, racists and religious fanatics. And all this at such a tender age is already instilled and familiar to them. It's a hell of a thing. In addition to all this, they are taught by a teacher who is fiercely fighting for women’s rights, but at the same time can neither stand up for herself nor change a clearly unloved job. There's a headmaster in this school who doesn't give a damn about what's going on, and there's a senior policeman who came to the school where the hostages were being taken, and he's boiling over being called to work on his wife's birthday. What are these people? What do they live for? What are their joys in life? Naturally, their meeting in one place led to a completely insane tragedy and drama.
A very weak film in which the director wanted to raise and show the serious problems of humanity. Everything turned out uninteresting, illogical, unrealistic, crumpled and stupid. Oh, and it's still very dark.
“A hundred times she came to you, a hundred times you refused to cooperate. He insulted her, threatened her, and what did you do? Nothing!
The film “The Last Lesson” touches upon several acute social problems at once: religious and interethnic hostility, discrimination, violence, cruelty, indifference.
Unhappy, exhausted, cornered, desperate, broken woman – Sone Bergerac is really sympathetic.
The departure of a loved one, silence and ignorance on the part of the authorities, misunderstanding and unwillingness of students to listen and hear bring the heroine Isabel Adjani to a nervous breakdown. Tired of humiliation, the woman decides to teach this lesson in a different way. To teach children respect, alas, turns out only violent method.
Listening to the teacher’s reasoning on topical questions as I watched the film, I repeatedly noted to myself – she is right.
Alas, most of her hostage students could not understand what it means to respect others? In their opinion, insulting nationality, gender and religion is wrong. Sure, but aren't they doing the same thing, using the mask of "my opinion" to show a complete lack of objectivity? What common sense can we talk about with people, morality, principles whose beliefs are based on violence and bullying?
- Sit next to the girl! How can I?! It's about respect!
- I don't understand. You can't sit with girls, but you can sleep with them. Are you doing this out of respect? I don't understand
Particularly among the students I would like to mention Navel, which was played by Sonya Amory. The candid story of a brave girl about her childhood and her actions could not leave me indifferent.
Back to class. Time passes that Madame Bergerac does not waste in vain – she does not give up trying to appeal to her pupils to conscience, voicing what every parent and not only a parent will understand. She asks tearfully, begs the children for it.
Separately, I want to touch on the topic of the heroine’s parents Izabel Adjani. An elderly married couple who disowned their daughter over religious beliefs was used as the latest, controlling argument to give up, which struck Madame Bergerac right in the heart. The words and voice that broke it.
To sum up, the finale was unexpected for me and surprised.
It’s good that they make such a movie – awakening consciousness, talking about problems, opening eyes, reflecting feelings. The film is definitely good and worth watching.
P.S. Pay attention to the last scenes – the parents and the outdoor episode, it was strong.

This could have been expected, it could have been corrected.
It was interesting to watch, was tense, felt excitement and empathy.
This is a very serious film that is worth thinking about. And you ask yourself: what would you do in this situation?
Constant bullying of their students – children from unfavorable families, hooligans and rather dangerous students. Every time there is a conflict based on racism and religious beliefs. The pedagogical staff and leadership are inactive. All this leads to a real tragedy, despite the fact that the main character is already on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
The teacher is a professional. So his competence should be enough to be able to manage with children, to find a common language with them. Since many children are Muslim, one of the teachers wore the Quran to indicate the limits of what is allowed. Another teacher found a common language with the children, learning their tastes in music. While the main character tried to achieve his cries of silence and understanding of the students.
So all the blame is on the staff and the leadership, except for a few. Such schools were created specifically for difficult students. First of all, if there is no discipline, there will be no progress.
We see what can happen if a teacher is incompetent. And this is shown in many films, which helps us not to step on the rake on which our heroine stepped.
I liked the movie and I didn't. On one side 7/10, on the other 4/10. So look and see for yourself.
Fear and ignorance provoke terrible things. If a person showed a little more compassion and attention to his neighbor, he would have enough strength to resist both fear and ignorance.
In the film, each character is subject to fear: parents, in the hope of a better future, move, face problems in a new place that they are unable to solve and in panic and despair try to win a place for themselves and their children; schoolchildren are afraid to be ridiculed, so they demonstrate their cruelty; teachers are afraid to enter the classroom and, in the absence of leadership support, bring themselves to breakdowns; the school management, in turn, wants to avoid contact with children, because they do not know how to behave with them, and to bring the problem outside the school means to get bad reviews and reprimands; the city leadership wants to quickly cover the problem, only if it should not get this press coverage. In the end, no one wants or can decide anything. It seems that only the negotiator tries to resolve the conflict without casualties and violence, but since it takes time and no one intends to wait, his efforts remain in vain. The exhausted teacher, having already realized her mistake, does not know how to proceed and desperately tries to reach the sympathy and humanity of frightened and desperate teenagers. The director washes his hands demonstratively, the police proposes to solve the issue with the help of weapons, parents worry about the children. Tension and fear drive people into a corner, push them to do terrible things.
But responsibility for what happened should be borne by absolutely everything. Because everyone, starting with teachers and ending with the city administration and the state, shrugged off children, let them leave school as soon as possible, and then it will be possible to put criminals behind bars, because it is faster and easier than spending time and effort on education. But in fact, coordinated actions of teachers and the state are necessary, because both sides work to achieve the same goal.
Working in school is one of the most difficult and responsible professions. In the hands of the teacher are still very young children who do not know much and do not even want to know. What is the task of the teacher? Not just teaching the subject. It is necessary to explain to the child what is good and what is bad, no matter how trite it may sound. Children are still oriented in the world, they need to show one of the right directions, which will lead him to harmony with himself and the world around him, will help find his place in life. The teacher must not only tell you how it is right, but also confirm it with his personal example. Competence and love for the profession and children are the hallmarks of the teacher, and it is not as simple as it may seem at first glance. The modern teacher must also have endurance, energy, strength to resist disrespect for themselves from students. The teacher is sincerely interested in the problems of the wards, shows interest and compassion to them, regardless of their religious beliefs. Can you imagine such a person? Do you understand that this person should be able to do everything? There are people like that. Add to this the fact that the state sets certain standards and requirements for the teacher.
So what do we see in the movie? I see the tragedy caused by the irresponsible and unreasonable actions of adults. And children are only a reflection of the adult world from which they take information. Of course, this is not the case in all schools. However, the news about the tragedies at the school, flashing more and more often on TV, suggests that such situations, which are illustrated in the film, are far from fiction and school problems occur and require immediate intervention.
On the technical side, I think if a movie has meaning and no detail is out of the picture or ridiculous, then it’s definitely good and deserves attention.
Isabelle Adjani’s rebellious spirit, with Algerian blood flowing in her veins, allowed her, at 53, to play one of her best roles in cinema, in my purely subjective view. This is undoubtedly due to talent and great dedication. Her Madame Bejerac tears apart the soul of both the viewer and the actress herself. This is not to be admired!
Jean-Paul Lillenfeld, the director of the film, shows us a school and a single class. Students do not differ in their behavior. Don't put a finger in their mouth, they pull their whole hand off. And on such potentially criminal elements, a normal and decent woman, a literature teacher, has to spend time. How do you deal with these kids? Are they children, and are they not creatures of hell?
Having a gun, Madame Bejerac blows the roof. But did she go that far? I think the film has a very big meaning about parenting, about compassion and not only. After all, when the gun fell into the hands of the teacher, she did not treat her students in vain. She just wanted to instill in them a love for Moliere. But that's not even the point. And most importantly, she tried to change the minds of these children, to put them on the right path, even in this not quite legal way. But they brought her to white heat. One black Mousse is worth it. Such words and beliefs do not need. But when it comes to the threat to his life at gunpoint, maybe his mind will change.
Good director, touched those very necessary strings of the soul. Negotiations with Madame Bejerac. Can they lead to a positive result? What about one of the task force, Officer Labouret? The director showed that in addition to his professional task, he is a man who has a family, or rather was. Not a cruel, soulless cop, but a normal person.
Sonia Bejerak performed by Isabel Ajani is something unforgettable. The actress gave everything she could to make us believe her. How can we not remember the biblical commandment that the humiliated will be exalted? A philosophical-spiritual picture. Even knowing the finale of this drama, I will definitely review this movie.

Madame Bergerac works as a teacher at a school for disadvantaged teenagers. Due to constant moral pressure on their part, she, being a very sensitive and cordial nature, is very difficult to endure their bullying, banter and indirect, but still unpleasant threats. But she understands that the teacher must be able to communicate with teenagers, and in order to somehow remain calm, she takes antidepressants before class. But one day she couldn't stand it. When a pistol fell out of the pupil's bag, Madame Bergerac seemed to have a patience switch clicked - she grabbed the pistol and, not wanting to give it away, accidentally shot the pupil. From that moment on, not only were the disciples held hostage by Madame Bergerac, but she herself became a hostage. Despite the sadness of the situation, she saw her children listening for the first time. They had no choice, but she felt that maybe now she could somehow reach them, break through the wall of teenage maximalism.
The further development of events should not be described in such detail - emotions and feelings of the characters play an important role. Watching the film, I understood that Madame Bergerac was trying to teach children tolerance by force, using fear as a catalyst, but I wondered, "Is that acceptable?" Is it effective?” Speaking about Moliere, Madame Bergerac mentioned that his last work was “The Imaginary Sick”, which, as I thought, was not accidental – every person, and especially a person who has suffered a lot of bad things in his life, tends to blame for his troubles anyone but himself. The allusion to this work probably suggests that all of us, as “imaginary patients”, strive to expel our pain on others, without thinking that by exaggerating our mental “illnesses”, we “infect” others with even more serious emotional traumas.
A very intriguing and, I think, climactic moment was when one of the pupils picked up the gun and uttered a strong phrase: "If I give her [the teacher] the gun, we all get out, and then... what then?" Is it gonna be the same? I want us to be held hostage forever.” She understood that someone finally had to somehow influence, not in words, but in deeds, these frostbitten guys who had been poisoning her and other students for a long time. It was painful to imagine how hard it was for a girl who was raped, how hard it was for Mehmed to endure bullying for wanting to protect a teacher from another rape.
The ending of the film was not unexpected, but you still do not fully understand: did Madame Bergerac manage to conduct her “last lesson” in such a way that everyone remembers it? It is sad that this “lesson” could not have been passed under other circumstances, so that students, having analyzed their own behavior, would have changed something about themselves. Unfortunately, the problems posed in the film, such as manifestations of racism, clash of religions, teenage conflicts, are present in real life at every turn, and it is impossible to eradicate them until people themselves think. The most important thing is to keep people like Sonia Bergerac trying to make a difference. It’s important to believe that people are changing and you just need to help them. How beautiful and tragic it is that she truly believed. I hope not for nothing.
Another vomit of French cinema. This time from a little-known director Jean-Paul Lilienfeld.
In full glory, we see a French school for difficult teenagers, which the headmaster has long scored, and teachers are engaged in either idealistic nonsense or settling personal scores. The teacher of French literature Sonia Bergerac, whose role is disgustingly played by Isabelle Adjani, can not cope with the students and all pedagogy goes downhill when one of the arrogant teenagers she takes a gun. Directing him at frightened children, Sonya conducts a Life Lesson that should at least change something in this filthy world, where racial and religious prejudices reign, disrespect for teachers and in general the meaninglessness of all existence.
I've never seen a more stupid film about teachers and students and their problems. For almost an hour and a half, we're looking at some disgusting stream of delirium. I absolutely understand the students who are sitting in this classroom bullying the teacher and each other. What else can they do? If some pathetic, hysterical creature, unable to establish relationships even in his family, began to teach me a subject, I would personally send this creature away. Such "teachers" should be chased by a shitty broom from public and private schools. Do you think children should respect teachers? I feel sorry for you. Chikatilo was once a teacher. Just don't start now about all this nonsense - experience, wisdom, respect, or worthless and cruel young people. Ask me what kind of teacher should I be? Here's the answer.
Knowledge is a weapon. Powerful weapon. When a teacher comes to school, every action, every word, every look should show self-confidence, leadership, desire for success, taste for life. Then every student, even if he is a juvenile criminal, will sit with his mouth open and there will be only five in the class magazine. Arousing in children interest in knowledge, the teacher finds the key to each of them and indicates the right path to life. You think that's impossible? “Teacher” is not your calling.
Do you want to distinguish a real teacher from a pseudo-teacher? See if he uses a textbook in class. If the textbook replaces it, then just forget about school and go home schooling. A real teacher comes to the lesson without a book ("Games of the Mind", "Freedom Writers", "Teacher of the Year"), and if with it only as a tool ("Renaissance Man"), and this is an example not only from the movies. Remember all the great leaders, have any of them read on paper?
“The Last Lesson” shows us not the fall of the moral principles of the youth, but absolutely worthless teachers who do not know how to stand up for themselves. What is the value of their knowledge, turning to dust at every failure? Do you feel sorry for that frightened poor teacher? Better pity the children who are forced to sit in the lessons of this talentless bitch.

Why does something that elevates men above others humiliate women in the eyes of society?
Actually, I wasn't going to love France. But ironically, I am so fascinated by what ' produces ' this country, and particularly French cinema. I love movies like this – they don’t let me think about anything other than the endings and certain phrases that are so deep in my head that it’s unbearable to carry all these thoughts to myself.
It is difficult to take on a psychodrama for ' nourishment' the mind, you need to think, but what is in this particular picture of such a vital? I didn't have to think long here. Everything is too open, painful, genuine. I watched the movie almost a year ago, I don’t remember any names, but it doesn’t matter. You can frame anyone here, but the meaning will not change.
I thought for a long time why the painting has such a name. Was that the teacher's last lesson in her life? Was that the last lesson the kids learned from her? Was that the last lesson before society realized its monstrous behavior? This is such a painful topic for me that, returning mentally to the heroes, my heart shrinks, because I see this, I observe, I live with it all the time.
There are some things I don’t want to talk about here: immigrants. Especially because I live in Moscow, especially because of the people I had the misfortune to meet. But it is impossible not to understand and not to indicate a very clear hint - why foreigners behave so loosely in a foreign country, and citizens are forced to keep silent and tolerate such riots?
But the most important thing in the film is the relationship between the sexes. This is a red line throughout the story.
Many people will tell me that there are too many feminism cells in my blood, but I cannot put up with this, it affects me.
So what? Can't I have my own opinion? Should I be silent just because I am a woman? How many times have I encountered smug expressions in the spirit of: 'Silence, woman,... ' What is the reason for this axiom ' the elevation of the man'? None of those boys ever tried to yell at their mother, accuse her of being stupid, silence her. A woman raises a child, a woman lays all the values and norms in it, a woman makes him an individual who can fit into our society.
You can call me stupid because I say what's on my mind. But I think you'd be much happier if I sat quietly and smiled. They could not accept that a teacher could make them repeat her words, leave their thoughts in their minds. For them, it was unacceptable at least the fact that a woman is trying to teach them something, that she can rise above them in any inconceivable way.
So what? Can't I say what I'm saying? Are you offended by the meaning I am trying to convey to you? They could not accept her victory - moral, physical, any - for them it was unnatural. They could not understand that a girl could sit next to them, sit on an equal level and not lower her eyes in shame, not be silent, but act. For any man now to accept superiority, albeit the slightest, but still superiority is a kind of humiliation, an insult to his majestic ego.
If you go back to history, you will see this common double standard in society: the more a guy has sexual relations, the better, a woman can also have many men, but in this case she is only a slut. Why is this connection capable of throwing a woman into the mud? And at the same time, it exalts the man, gives him the proud nickname 'macho', 'male' whatever, but only with a touch of elevation. The woman is doomed to reproaches and oblique views. But it is the same, it is called one word, but for some reason it is interpreted differently. Why does the Church declare a prostitute one who had an intimate relationship with a man before marriage, but who is this man, why is he not held accountable, why does not any shadow fall on him? Those students raped a classmate, but were ashamed and disdainful to sit next to her because of her ' contamination', viciousness. But who would infect and dishonor her? It's them and they alone! These moral freaks did not realize that they were hypothetical breeding grounds for infection and dirt, they were unclean, but not girls.
I don’t understand why this is considered normal: a guy gets away with it, and a girl is branded a disgrace. When I read ' and suddenly during the lesson the shot goes out...' in the film description, I didn't expect it to turn out like this.
I decided to watch this film after the 2011 release of The Replacement Teacher, and in principle I am happy with my choice. I have always enjoyed good ideas and stories. A social theme is not to make a movie about a couple of bad guys.
School is the place where the first lessons are given. But every year the situation gets worse, new generations come, more pampered, more cruel and cynical.
Teacher Sonya slowly reaches the limit of bullying of her students from disadvantaged families. But one day she gets a chance to make her students listen to her.
The film explores issues of racism, religious discrimination, sexual violence, ethnic conflict, emancipation, father-child relationships, and teenage violence. Some people think it’s just a hostage situation. But it's not. After all, the teacher to the last believes that he can help his pupils get on the right path. Almost everyone around me regards everything as a psychopath. No one wants to pay attention to a problem because no one knows how to solve it. If this goes on, then instead of schools it will be necessary to build prisons. And this problem is not only France, but also many other countries. As long as children absorb violence and cruelty, life will not get better. He brought a gun to school today and will kill dozens of innocents tomorrow. And this is already happening, the evil around us. You haven’t faced it, but what about your children or grandchildren? What will happen in school in 10 or 20 years?
The storyline in principle keeps in tone and the film is not too long, so you will not have to get bored. Actors’ performances are also unnoticed. I didn’t hear the music, but the last track is sad and soulful, which corresponds to the ending.
The film leads to many different thoughts and everyone will understand something for themselves. And maybe someone wants to become a teacher and help teenagers lost in the roads of life, but this is just a drop in the sea.
The ending will not leave you indifferent and I think you will watch the titles until the end. They came, they learned the last lesson as best they could.
Deservedly
"Last Lesson" is my first film, where I didn't even see the trailer, was very happy with just the description. All this because I still have not departed from the film 'Class' where two boys shot all their abusers in the school cafeteria. Here is a slightly similar situation, but instead of classmates, the scapegoat is the teacher, who has been suffering bullying and humiliation from her students for many months. Then the wheels will break through her, then throw nasty notes, in short, not the best and well-mannered children. The main heroine of the film, the actress Izabel Adjani, who in her role in 2010 won the award 'Cesar' in the nomination Best Actress, I agree with two hands that Isabel was on top here, the role performed brilliantly. I wonder what it means, fees in the world - $ 4, this is a joke, or what?
In principle, I can’t say that I was happy with the film, it didn’t live up to the expectations I expected from reading the descriptions. Sonia Bergerac, a teacher of French literature, accidentally takes possession of a pistol brought by one of her students. Holding this iron toy in her hands, Sonya feels a power she has never been able to show her students. After enjoying the silence, she continues her French literature class. It is illegal but effective for a class to take place until there is chaos in the classroom. To sum up, is not what I expected. A simple movie that is easily forgotten, for example, I have already forgotten where it all started.
