James Russo is a real man. I really liked this movie. It is surprising that there are no reviews about him. I came across it by accident, thought it was a horror movie, and this is a crime drama with elements of a thriller. We can say that this is modern American noir. When watching and after, I remembered J. H. Chase.
The plot is not original, the plot is like a plot, but watched in one breath until the very end. James Russo is a real man, a real man, you root for him with all your heart (by the way, he is also a screenwriter and co-producer). Teresa Russell is very good, you know why the main hero is in love with her. Other roles were well played: Steve Railsback (Trickster), Brad Durif (Flew over the cuckoo's nest), Michael Rucker and John Polito.
Perhaps Richard Pepin's best film (as a director). You worry about the main characters, you want them to survive, which means the film is a success. On the Russian license came out as “Container with death”.
