Extravagant retro? Such pictures look somewhat unusual now, but for the sake of curiosity I looked. I rarely watch eroticism and, admittedly, was surprised by the candid scenes of self-satisfaction of the main character, given the year of the release of the film. Surely at this time it was forbidden to show such a movie-video and looked quietly on videotapes a hundred times rewritten.
The plot, of course, does not shine with a bright individuality, the story is quite banal, but because of Serena Grundy, it is still worthy of attention. She plays beautifully, with Italian grace and some slight arrogance and contempt, self-confidence and charisma. As for the male half of the actors – nothing remarkable: there are moments in which it seems that the actor is terribly unpleasant to molest heroin and he does it reluctantly and looking at the floor.
Directorial and camera work is clear, individual. I have not seen any other Brass films, but it is already clear that he has his own presentation of the “inner world” of man. There are very few close-ups in the picture, and I did not particularly see any emotions or experiences of the characters. This is probably due to the year of release.
In general, when you get tired of blockbusters and cheap horror movies, you can watch very much. Even if only for a variety of perspectives.
