"Leave, leave" but leave beautifully Pugacheva is one of the few cultural figures who is absolutely graceful for any journalist. She's just a godsend for a person writing. She knows how to be trusting, sincere (both human and acting), she, like few people, knows how to express a thought in one short, accurate phrase. Among masters of arts and athletes, this is a rare quality (usually they either talk too much in vain, or simply “moose”).
At one time, they quoted her brilliant remark about the Valley (by the way, I do not believe that Larisa could say anything impudently bad about Pugacheva, she appreciates her very much, and internal culture would not allow her to do it): “Yes, Larisa, of course, is the “golden voice” of Russia, however, she does not know what to do with it” (hinting to her indiscriminateness in the repertoire). How's that? Look how capacious, accurate, apt and completely harmless! The valley seems to have taken it quite appropriately.
I do not remember Pugacheva ever ignoring a public question addressed to her personally. On the contrary, she likes to “act out”, “play” the press conference, work it out as a solo show. And for this she needs scandalous questions, she loves them madly, because they provide a huge field for her inspired improvisation. Such cases in her practice were the sea. And of course, she never powdered any of the journalists, even though she was angry. Everyone always asks what they want. They write whatever they want. Although other writers should really shut their mouths and banish journalism. Fortunately, Pugachev does not go down before that.
Calling Pugachev a superstar or a megastar is offensive. Pugacheva is a whole planet, it is a phenomenon, it is not only her work, there is a mystery of personality, the magic of personality. She knows how to play her life beautifully. Make a spectacle of your personal life. She lives brightly and interestingly. Her life is a huge stage. Galkin wanted Galkin - Galkin at her feet. She wanted some projects and festivals - she always participates in them, and this becomes a subject of discussion. This is a phenomenon, this is a planet that needs to be studied. Popularity is one thing, and audience love is another. You may not sing anymore, but they love you. Being loved and being loved are different things. In an artistic sense, nothing stronger than the concert “Pugacheva’s Chosen” I have not seen when the singer comes out alone, without scenery, five musicians – and for two hours it is impossible to break away from her face, from her hands, from her facial expressions, from everything she does.
And every time you watch this concert as for the first time, each time you discover new nuances, shades in singing. It's absolutely incredible, I can't come off, it's some kind of magic. Everything plays, everything is filled with energy, meaning and magic. I've never seen it anywhere else, even though I've seen hundreds of concerts. I haven’t seen a concert like Pugacheva’s Chosen One. There are no concerts, I don’t know.
Alla Pugacheva didn’t care what place she would take at Eurovision back in 1997. She just needed to get back on stage after a year and a half break. And to come back for a reason, with a song - it would not be Pugachev. We had to come back loud, through an international competition. And she did it great! She wrote a chic song “Primadonna”, very complex and not at all for Eurovision, a song with stunning harmony, with a complex melody, a theme that could become part of a symphony. Everything was done on a colossal level. It turned out to be a masterpiece, although they really realized it only a few years later. In her farewell tour “Dreams of Love”, Alla put “Primadonna” at the very end of the program, before the title song. That says a lot. By the way, this hit Pugachev recorded in Sweden at the studio of Benny Anderson, he also discouraged her from participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. But Alla stood on his own: 'I want it and that's all, has not been in competitions for a long time. I will see what and how, I will look at the young artists, I will breathe this atmosphere. In fact, the 15th place was awarded not to Pugacheva, but to Yeltsin’s Russia in 1997. Because to give the 15th place to the best singer of the country is to directly point the whole country to her place in the public opinion of the European Union.
Do you know that there have been several attempts on Alla Pugacheva? And that she was chased by maniacs several times. It has been written in books and newspapers, but little. And I know that for sure. One came from afar and tracked her down on Tverskaya Street. And he almost walked there with an axe. He had been hatching the idea for two months. And somehow he was accidentally caught. The fact is that Pugacheva urgently went somewhere, some absolutely urgent were touring. And he had information that she should be home today. And he just betrayed himself. He was also defused by fans. And he admitted that he loved her very much. This is a version of Mike Chapman, who also adored Lennon. And he killed Lennon out of love. And this one wanted to kill in order to get later into the annals of history, that he encroached on the life of a great singer.
But I can say that I, as a big fan of Pugacheva, am simply offended by such her new masterpieces as Kopeechka, Don’t Call and Together. It is very bad, both musically and meaningfully. You can't sing that. When one of Russia’s richest women sings about a penny, I feel ashamed of her. The song is clearly underdeveloped: there are no codes, it (the song) breaks off, as if suddenly. As for the phrase “You stay there,” it doesn’t sound sarcastic or ironic enough. If this is the main phrase in the song, there should be a special emphasis on it. And the melody is like you've heard it many times before - it's kind of worn out, booby-trapped. Typical chanson sample, old, condo. It's kind of a musical cliché. Very bad. Her songs today are not music, not poetry, but simply musical impotence. Pugacheva today has nothing to say to the viewer. She does not understand her huge contribution to the history of world music culture, does not realize that it was necessary to remain in the memory of people a legend – to leave and not to appear in public. After all, she is a fabulously rich person, she has a huge fortune, castles, and that she is forced to put herself in such a light today, I do not understand! Any real musician, composer, art critic, anyone connected with art, creativity will tell you about this. It is a pity that the singer herself does not understand this. To be honest, I'm ashamed of her.
