Complex characters They keep the viewer’s attention by their interaction and not linear reactions. Each of the heroes - sailors has their own precisely written character and the reactions of the actors are strictly in their mainstream. And these are not standard ' bullies', ' goodies' and 'heroes'. As in life, there is diversity. But ' slander' one fate - military existence in the unit almost 'kamikaze' - because seaworthiness and the ability not just to attack, but even defend torpedo boats of the type G-5 (namely, this type of boats used the 1st brigade of torpedo boats based at the specified time in Yalta) - very low and every exit into the sea - as a step into the abysss. Therefore, only at night (because there is no ship cover from ' large & #39; there are no ships - a consequence of the loss of mate bases). That’s why both the drama and the tension of the officers in anticipation of going on a military campaign are even under-showed by the author – he made a bet & #39; on acting, musical design and probably his own memory of his comrades – and received an accurate, clearly indicated plot and its embodiment on the screen. On the transfer of characters without ' excesses' in any direction - the best film in my memory but did not give 8 due to excessively peaceful Yalta and under-pumping suspense.
And the fact that Yalta is not just 100 km (the sea is much closer!) from Sevastopol, but was liberated only three weeks before the liberation of the latter is a fact! And so the peaceful life is drawn by the director from memory from Poti - where they were previously based.
And so Yalta of the 60s caught on the film is beautiful and captivating with its contraforces and ladders, diabase and verandas.
