But I personally like, for all the simplicity and stupidity of the plot, how the film is served on a platter. These close-ups, real-life stunts, very interesting guys with their own philosophy plus Asia native puts its own special gloss. Probably, this is reflected in the French registration of the film – the French are able to shoot any genre very well, even with a limited budget. "Yamakashi 2" is no exception.
In general, in the best traditions of the same "Wasabi", the first true "Yamakashi", and "Taxi" second, of course.
This part (although it is "this part") is inferior, of course, to the first part. This is not a classic movie even of this genre. It's like a light clip - what I watched, got carried away - and forgot. Beautiful clip, not stupid, but especially without meaning and normal logic.

All the actions and actions of the characters do not lend themselves to a logical explanation, some primitive love line in the film, funny shootouts from plastic machines and escaping from bullets. In one episode, I thought the music from Titanic was playing.
If you look at this film in isolation, it’s a ridiculous, unprofessional project, and compared to the first part, it’s a shame!

The French in most cases do not know how to make worthy continuation to their own hits and "Yamakashi 2" extra proof of this. The continuation of the adventure action movie 2001 about a group of extreme sports fans turned out to be an absolutely unnecessary sequel, which does not develop the story and does not add anything new.
Not only has the sequel lost all the charm of the first part, so it has lost even the elementary plot. An hour and a half of the film is trying to keep on borrowing from various criminal militants, which scriptwriters are unable to connect with each other and build a sane plot. Some kind of confrontation between the Chinese mafia and the Japanese triad, the scene is why Bangkok. And how all these "disassemblies" concern the French acrobats also remains a mystery to the viewer. But the problems of the sequel are not limited to one slurred plot, they go much deeper. At first, the problems rest on the main characters. Of course, tricks plus fights look more interesting than just jumps, but there is no proper explanation in the picture, a couple of martial arts lessons taken by one of the characters do not give the right to do them all "a la Jackie Chanami in the early years." This is not enough, but, secondly, the peculiarity of the picture is lost. At this stage, the creators demonstrated their incompetence. They did not know how to attract the viewer’s attention for the second time, limiting themselves to the same techniques as in the first part. That's why they let go of their fantasies.

Yamakashi 2 is a dynamic action adventure full of tricks and fights, but devoid of a sane plot. Absolutely unnecessary sequel.
