A broken branch will never grow together. The title of this film perfectly reveals its essence. There's nothing to add. We're really showing a couple who are teetering on the edge. They meet, swear, break up, miss each other, then get back together and fight again. That's the whole movie. The only intrigue is whether they cross the same line or stay together.
You could call it a life story. It happens quite often. It seems to be difficult to get along together, but it seems not good separately. In such situations, it is difficult to make a final decision. On the one hand, it is stupid to step on one rake constantly. On the other hand, there is little hope that this time everything will change for the better. And it's a habit to be.
Although I did not see love between the characters, because they are loved not for something, but against everything. In any normal couple, both must make concessions, and the heroes of the whole film tried to pull the blanket to their side. And if you pull strongly in different directions, then the gap will be quite a natural consequence. What then connected them together? Just passion. Love is when you give and want to give. Passion is when you take and want to take more.
Perhaps an ordinary story could pull a good acting tandem. With all due respect to Russell Crowe, I admit he played mediocre. It's too simple for him to play. Yes, and with Salma Hayek they generally look strange. An awkward couple, as well as the episode with visions about Einstein, etc. In general, a boring sight, in my opinion. There are two adults who cannot understand their feelings. I didn't like the movie. There are more interesting melodramas.
