A waste of time Lyrical retreat. I am amazed when, after watching this film (August 17, 2017), I see his score on a film search. At the moment, it's 7.2. Of course, I assume that it is the nostalgic feelings of people, most of whom watched it at a very green age. However, this assessment is very misleading. She deceived me and me, a man who expected an extravaganza of humor and bright characters based on the example of the first part of this film series.
Now to business. The film is not worth watching for anyone who appreciates their time. Completely stupid and stereotyped characters (absolutely everything), the worst possible example of American humor (stupid and not at all funny), a little less than a complete lack of narrative logic. And this is not to mention the fact that the whole plot is 70% of the failed clone of the first film, another 20 – the second (with a near and unknown Mauser who rose to the high rank), and the remaining 10 creators fantasized with the scene.
The so-called new characters are somehow reborn from previous films. Somehow, the head of a gang of hooligans named Zed from the second film is at large (the film does not say how many years have passed since the events of the second part, but if you start from the release date, then about a year and a half has passed, it is time for him to serve his second of 5-10 years in prison). Moreover, this Zed decided to go to the police! And of course they did. A person with a criminal record.
Next. The bandit, who in the first film stole police weapons, grabbed a police officer, threatening to kill him, and in general did a lot of lawlessness - also lives and lives free (and not only).
Next. In this part, almost all secondary actors of the previous parts decided to enter the police. This is the old-fashioned eyeglass, the former owner of the lighting store Switchak; the aforementioned Zed; the wife of the clumsy policeman Fakler; the brother of Tackleberry’s wife. In short, half a city.
In this film, bandits for some reason do not use weapons that they have in their hands; according to the classics of the genre (and maintaining former prejudices), all Asians somehow master martial arts at the highest level.
Speaking of which, about Mahoney. If in the previous parts he was quite charismatic and charming personality, then here. Just a background persona. Same jokes, same behavior. But on its own deflated, even the ladies of it is already some zero. Sadness.
To be honest, you can say “zero” and predictable about all the characters in this movie. As correctly written in one of the reviews, Hightower here - as usual, a superpower with a terrible blow; Tackleberry is a gun-obsessed psycho. Hooks is a squeaker, raising his voice a couple of times in obvious moments; the ex-head of the Zed gang in general is still the same jerk. Oh, and Jones is constantly and often inappropriately generating sounds, signals, and so on. As usual.
Summarizing. It's just boring. Boring, primitive, stupid, dull. Pre-ska-so-e-mo. And illogical.
I do not recommend watching this movie. The only advantage is that it is quite short.
Everything.
