Unsurpassed Mona and the horrors of the county city Bett Midler is one of the few movie actresses, along with Whoopi Goldberg and Goldie Hawn, when you just need to look at their face to become ridiculous. Not surprisingly, almost all of her films are comedies; her roles cannot be dim, on the contrary, they are always bright and with a bit of ironic madness, which is her remarkable feature. In any film, she attracts attention to herself, and the rest only revolve around, creating the necessary background.
"Drown Monu" - certainly not the best and not the most famous of her work, especially in the form of the drowned Mona, but here, having a fairly small amount of screen time, only waiting for her to appear again. Denny DeVito, with whom she had to work not for the first time and who, incidentally, has no less eccentric temperament, looks dull here, but such a role. We are told a story unfolding in a small town where, for good reason, everyone drives the same cars and where someone, not devoid of ambition and enthusiasm, is still trying to arrange his life, while others are leading it as they go, ignoring moral principles. Justice is on the side of the minority. And alas, from the point of view of plausibility, you can not argue with this, especially when life takes place in a tiny house with an idiot son and a husband, whom it is not a sin and a pan to move... But this is a great film to spend an evening in the company of talented actors.
