The Difficulties of Forgiveness Who among us has never been wrong? Everyone. Have you been forgiven? Alien people might not. People who are close and loving usually forgive. It's a lot harder for them, though. In whom is it harder to be disappointed, in a stranger or in a loved one?
This is the black and white forgotten film. Although there is room for a romantic story, a criminal line, and a story about social inequality. But it's still a movie about forgiveness. It is hard for an ordinary working guy to learn that his beloved new wife has only recently quit with a shameful craft. It's hard to forgive him. And even when he's forgiven, he expects unhappy May to be tricked here and there. He forgave, but lost the most important thing: trust. And when May gets into trouble, it won't be easy to decide who to believe in the end. It seems to be unambiguous facts or words of a beloved, but already once deceived woman.
It was very interesting to see the young Carol Lombard, the future wife of Clark Gable. She was a great actress as well. Her May is in her favor, although she is not a holy heroine.
This is her first film.
The rest of the actors also did not disappoint, of course, Hollywood cinema of the 30s has its own specific features in the game of actors, too, but it did not hurt me at all.
