Rock Hudson and Dean Martin – Disassembly Not an outstanding monosyllabic western, which, thanks to the main actors and very smooth directing, made a very pleasant impression on me. The story of two childhood friends who found themselves on opposite sides of the law is not new. However, Rock Hudson as Sheriff and Dean Martin as Robber prove to be very organic. Aging stars somehow did not even strain to make a good game, as they say, completely out of nowhere. The film, after all, is a continuous chase and shooting. But consistently cheerful and not discouraged Dean multiplied by harsh and wordless Rock - do their job.
It remains to be lamented how these two studio bosses wrote off so early. There was potential, and there was. Hudson, in general, all the best works began to give out years since the 66th. In the 70s, Rock gave out very strong roles, and, as I think, if I was in “The Scam” or “Butche and Sundance”, I would play at a level.
So I liked the movie. In addition to the actors, the final shootout and picturesque nature (as if from the films of Geni Hathaway) are still remembered.
